Out of Detroit's wealth of musicians emerges Randal "Velvet" Wilson, Guitarist/ Producer/ Songwriter and Voice Actor. Randal divides his time performing, recording, touring, and serving as Musical Director for many local and national recording artists. Randal has had the pleasure of recording with Michael Powell, Partners in Praise, Guy Ensley, Al Turner, Gayelynn McKinney, Inohs Sivad, David Ivey, Ernest Lee & The Spirit of David, Straight Gate's "Faith in The House", LaShell Griffin, L Renee, Phoenix, Zanye', Word of Faith, The Street Jazz Cartel and many others. He has also been blessed to share the stage and perform with Earth, Wind & Fire, Brian McKnight, Babyface, Musiq Soulchild, George Benson, Layla Hathaway, Ledisi, Joe Sample, CeCe Winans, Amp Fiddler, Natalie Cole, Jeffrey Osborne, Dave Koz, Gerald Albright, Richard Elliot, Mindi Abair, The Dramatics, The Commodores, Michael Franks, Kem, Ruben Studdard, Fred Hammond, Impromp2, Angela Winbush, T.D. Jakes, Lenny White, Thornetta Davis, Karen Clark-Sheard, Marion Meadows, Donnie McKlurkin, K Jon, Vickie Winans, Ralph Armstrong, Dettrick Haddon, Dorothy Norwood, Olie Woodson, Dorinda Clark- Cole, Partners in Praise, Port of Call, Steven Ford and Twinkie Clark to name a few. Having studied with some of his Guitar Heroes like Pat Metheny, John Abercrombie, Larry Coryell and Ron English has helped him to develop personally and professionally as a master guitarist. Smooth, guitar based jazz with a strong sense of spirituality and well being running through it, this was a delight from start to finish.

An all too brief mini album, the six tracks come and go in less than 25 minutes, but when the music is as well honed as it is here, you're happy to turn around and play it all over again. The pleasure is just as pronounced on repeated listenings as it was the first time around.
