Cody Steinmann

Cody Steinmann has been performing and teaching professionally for over 10 years. He attended Milwaukee Area Technical College where he completed an Associate’s degree in Music Occupations and later won a Rita Tallent Picken scholarship to attend the University of Wisconsin – Parkside. Cody has studied extensively with Steve Peplin, Russ Johnson, Solomon Parham, JD Allen, Jesse Catalino Montijo and James Crowley, DM. He has also taken lessons with Ari Honig, Johannes Weidenmueller, Scott Hesse, Pete McCann, and Aaron Gardner.

An outstanding improviser and composer, Cody has become a fixture on the Twin Cities jazz scene since settling in Minneapolis. Cody has performed with JD Allen, Solomon Parham, Javier Santiago, Russ Johnson, Chris Bates, JT Bates, Abinnet Berhanu, Anthony Fung, Max Gerl, Kevin Washington, Bryan Murray, Fode Bangoura, L.A. Buckner, Jake Baldwin, and Nelson Devereaux. In September 2019, under his producer name C0D3 7, he released his debut album 7 a musical chronicle of Cody’s youth. He then released his second album, Sightless Quartet Live, in May 2021. Sightless Quartet is the first group Cody formed upon moving to the Twin Cities, dedicated to exploring the intersections between jazz, metal, and hip hop.

Lonnie Mack

Lonnie Mack was born Lonnie McIntosh in 1941 in Ohio, raised in a musical family surrounded by the sounds of blues, country, and gospel. From a young age, he displayed an exceptional talent for the electric guitar, developing a hard-driving, aggressive style that would later be hugely influential.

In 1963, Mack recorded an instrumental version of the song "Memphis" that is now considered one of the earliest examples of the emerging blues rock genre. His blistering, emotive guitar work on that track caught the attention of music fans and fellow guitarists, establishing him as a rising star.

Darren Leonidas

Born in NYC in 1969, Darren Leonidas first began playing guitar at the age of 11 years old. Growing up in a household with numerous musicians and surrounded by music for most of his life, Darren credited Eric Clapton as the reason he originally began playing guitar. Along with Clapton, Darren was deeply inspired by other 60s and 70s era rock-and-roll bands like Led Zeppelin and the Rolling Stones.

After moving to New Jersey in his teenage years, Darren discovered Jazz and quickly became engrossed with the genre. Albums from notable artist such as George Benson, David Sanborn, and Pat Metheny caught his interest. After graduating high school, Darren studied jazz at William Paterson University, studying under Jazz Virtuoso Vic Juris. It was here where Darren developed a deep appreciation for Modern Contemporary Jazz and instilled an overall drive to seek out all forms of music.

Ronny deCarlo

Ronny deCarlo is the moniker of the Dutch/Colombian guitarist and producer Roenik Roa Espinosa. 

His project Fonque Nouveau is about finding a fresh and soulful sound, combining the adventure of jazz with the bombastic beats of hip hop, brought to life by a dynamic band that combines raw live energy with a modern, electronic and cinematic sound. 

Ronny’s soundscape also weaves in contemporary influences, drawing from Afrobeats and Trap Soul to create a lush musical tapestry.

A winner of 2023's 'The Records', a competition by the Keep an Eye Foundation, Ronny utilized his prize to record his debut album Fonque Nouveau, which received accolades in the Dutch jazz scene as well as an Edison Jazz 2024 (Dutch grammy's) nomination in the category 'Newcomer'.

Ari Joshua is a South African born, American raised jazz guitarist who wields an enlightened presence, boundless creativity, and visceral virtuosity. He earned a scholarship to the iconic New York City music school, The New School and before that he spent a year at Mason Gross School of the Arts. Many talented musicians have gravitated towards Ari's sound has earned him many roles as a side man and he has also led many ensembles performing original music over the years. Born in Galway, Ireland, Conor embarked on his professional musical career at the age of fourteen, establishing himself as a versatile multi-instrumentalist, composer, and songwriter. His development as an artist has been profoundly shaped by his beginnings as a trumpet player and the opportunity to study under and receive masterclasses from some of the world’s most distinguished musicians and educators, including Steve Waterman, Gene Calderazo, Phil Robson, Dave Liebman, Mark Turner, Rufus Reid, Jonathan Kreisberg, Ari Hoenig, and Jerry Bergonzi, among many others.

Throughout his career, Conor has had the honour of performing and recording alongside various internationally acclaimed artists and ensembles such as The Commitments, Imelda May, The Republic of Loose, the Brexit Big Band, Brian Priestly, the Matt Roberts Bigband and Louis Stewart.

Brett Hansen is a Canadian guitarist/composer/producer based in Edmonton. He has recorded on dozens of albums across many genres. Brett has shared the stage with the likes of Robi Botos, Gil Goldstein, PJ Perry, Mallory Chipman, the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra, and many others. He is an active sideman having opened up for bands such as Blue Rodeo, AQUA, and Blue Oyster Cult.

Mario Duenas

Mario Dueñas was born on April 23, 1985 in Guayaquil, Ecuador. Was introduced to the piano at the age of 5, developing a special interest in harmony, and soon began a self- teaching process through record transcribing and bibliographic studies. Years later, established a variety of ensambles to further explore both the languages of composition as well as performance. After experiencing the music of Bill Evans and John Coltrane along with many other master improvisers, decided to continue a deeper study into the nature of improvisation. In 2008, traveled to the United States where he married to Denisse Navarro
