Atmos Trio
The members of the Atmos Trio (Featuring Rob Michael on Guitars, Drew Waters on Basses and Joe Shotwell on Drums and Percussion) are all extremely well- rounded musicians. Having been hiring their services out to other musical projects in every conceivable musical styles for years, it wasn't until 2004 that the Trio decided to pursue their own muse. Each member brings their own world of influences and spirit. These three musos, having spent so much of their energy lending their talents to countless projects for other people, began to ask the question: “What would happen if we just play the music that we want to play?” This simple idea put into motion a series of events that culminated into this set of tunes, which, in part, represent the musical answer. Combining singable melodies usually associated with "pop" music, unexpected harmonic and tonal shifts of moderns jazz and World textures, the Atmos Trio is busy carving a unique niche for themselves
