Kurt Leege
Born:
Raised a classical pianist, Kurt Leege learned to read music at the same time he learned to read. By the time he was in high school he developed a desire to write music, but found himself trapped in his classical training. As a means to express the music in his head, he taught himself to play guitar and he's been doing that ever since. At Swarthmore College, he studied jazz with John Alston and later played in his jazz ensemble, among other more pop music projects. During this time he also developed an affinity for skronk guitar from listening to the likes of Sonic Youth, MBV and Robert Quine

Jim Josselyn
Born:
Jim got his first guitar at age 11 in Nogales, Mexico on a family trip and hasn't put it down since. Shortly after he heard Jimi Hendrix and ultimately Coltrane and Wes and Pat Martino among others and was hooked on jazz. Jim has studied with Pat, Ted Dunbar, Jimmy heath, Sir Roland Hanna, Steve Khan and Rodney Jones.

Roger Lin
Roger Lin is a guitarist/composer based in Brooklyn, New York. His debut album “Whisper of the Isolated Ones”, featuring Phil Grenadier on trumpet, Ryosuke Tsutsui on piano, Soso Gelovani on bass, and Nick Groat on drums. The release was soon recognized by his homeland Taiwan, nominated for The Best Jazz Album and The Best Jazz Composition for the 12th Golden Indie Music Award, the highest award for jazz category in the country.
In 2023, Roger releases his new work “Exploitation Suite”, recorded in Brooklyn New York, featuring Chaz Martineau, Isaac Levien, Quinton Cain, Moshe Elmakias, Simon Willson, and Willis Edmundson.

Jade Collective
Jade Collective is an NYC based indie-jazz band led by Jan Esbra and Catey Esler. Their music is influenced by their diverse musical backgrounds, drawing from alternative rock to folk to create a sound all their own. In September 2016, Jade Collective released their debut album Clarity which was successfully crowdfunded through Indiegogo. Since their start in 2016, Jade Collective has toured as supporting act for world-renowned singer-songwriter, Becca Stevens and has held residencies at The Middle East in Boston as well as The Shrine & Silvana in New York. In 2016 their original song “Beyond the Last Thought” won a Downbeat Student Music Award for Undergraduate College Outstanding Composition. Jade Collective is set to release, Cycles, a brand new 5-track EP in December 2020

Born in 1970, Didier Verna gets quickly involved in music, since he enters conservatory at the age of 5 and studies music theory for 2 years. At the age of 7, he starts learning classical percussions while continuing his theoretical studies; an opportunity for him to discover group playing and enjoy his first on-stage experiences. From this first instrumental contact with music, he will keep a sense and love for rhythm that can be heard very clearly in his playing, whether in composition or in improvisation. At the age of 9, bored with playing without interruption the « Bolero de Ravel » on a plastic pad in order not to upset the neighborhood, he decides to try classical piano, which he will be practising for 2 years

RAY SANDOVAL is an award winning composer, performer, producer and educator, trained in both the Classical and Jazz genres.
Born of Japanese and Mexican-American parents, Ray’s musical career began at home in Tucson, Arizona. At the age of eight, he was playing drums in a family band with his older brother, Richard.
A family hobby turned into serious study when both became the first students selected for APEX (Academic Preparation for Excellence) at the University of Arizona.
Under the guidance of Thomas Patterson, Professor of Music, Ray began to perform solo works of classical guitar earning a number of awards and a Bachelor’s Degree in Music.

LITANGEN (Kjell Harald Litangen) – Born in Skudeneshavn on Karmøy, along Norway’s rugged west coast, Kjell Harald Litangen has long been recognized as one of the country’s most in-demand session guitarists. Born and raised in Montreal, Québec, Charles Colizza is a New York based guitarist rooted in jazz. Established in the city since 2018, he has recorded alongside jazz saxophone legend Billy Drewes and has performed alongside Grammy winning arranger and trombonist Alan Ferber. He has performed in various world-renowned establishments and jazz venues across North America, notably at The Blue Note NYC, Festival International de Jazz de Montréal, The Bitter End, Upstairs and the Williamsburg Music Center.
