Based in Umbria (Italy) Simone frequents the US regularly where he performs with musicians including Sid Jacobs, Joe La Barbera, Peter Erskine, Arthur Blythe, Darek Oles, Danny Gottlieb, Adam Nussbaum and Jay Anderson. Music was not Simone's first passion, he began his career in the world of sport where he played professionally for a number of top Italian soccer clubs including AC Milan. After sustaining a serious knee injury Simone took the decision to refocus and persue a career in music

ARTIST BIOGRAPHY: A Long and Winding Road Lew Woodall meandered a long and winding pathway before finding his way to jazz. After playing rock, top forty, beach, and blues earlier in his career and ceasing to play completely for a period of 12 years; he has recorded 4 jazz CDs since he began playing jazz gigs in 2000. His 2008 and 2009 CDs. "Simply Cooking" and "Simply Cooking II, Second Time Around" are produced and distributed by Paolo Piangiarelli of Philology Jazz Records. The prestigious Spanish composer and guitarist Josep Soto has made us wait, but it was worth it. Chris Flegg

Chris Flegg is based in St Albans, Herts and not only plays jazz guitar but is a singer songwriter on the acoustic and folk scene with three albums of original songs to date, the latest being The Sound Of Life. Previous jazz recordings include Moving On, an album of original pieces for jazz quartet, in which John Rees-Jones also features on bass. Chris mainly performs locally in St Albans with sax and bass in a jazz context or solo as a singer guitarist. He runs a monthly jazz jam session and enjoys charity busking in support of the British Heart Foundation. Chris Flegg was born in Eastleigh, Hampshire which is situated five miles north of the coastal city of Southampton. A self taught musician, like so many in the sixties, Chris learned to play guitar using Bert Weedon’s “Play In A Day”

Dan Hicks

Born: December 9, 1941

Dan Hicks was born December 9, 1941 in Little Rock, Arkansas, the son of a career military man. The family moved to California when Dan was about five, eventually settling in what was then the small city of Santa Rosa, some 50 miles north of San Francisco. Musically, Dan started out as a drummer, beginning while still in grade school. He played the snare drum in his school marching band, and by the age of 14 was playing gigs with area dance bands. In High School, Dan developed an interest in broadcasting, and had a rotating spot on a daily 15-minute local radio program called "Time Out for Teens"
