Phi Yaan-Zek

Music for Phi Yaan-Zek is a deep on-going journey of self-discovery and surrendering to creativity. Each of his five solo album releases so far have been like a collection of diary pages and personal sketches from moments in that journey. Expanding on his Indian/French/British multi-cultural roots, Phi's dynamic creative vision dances yin-yang style between the polarities of passionate, dark intensity and warm, otherworldly playfulness. As such his unique musical voice has made him much in demand both as a guitar player and composer. Over the years he has recorded and performed with such inspirational musicians as Mike Keneally (Frank Zappa, Joe Satriani, Steve Vai), Marco Minnemann (Steve Wilson, The Aristocrats), Bumblefoot (Guns N' Roses), Bryan Beller (Steve Vai, The Aristocrats), Steve Lawson, Andy Edwards (Robert Plant, IQ) and Lalle Larsson (Karmakanic, Agents of Mercy) whom he met in the early 90s as a fellow student at the American Institute of Music in Vienna Austria.
