Mikołaj Poncyljusz

Guitarist, composer and producer – the leader of the Warsaw based „HoTS” band. A graduate of the State Music School of the second degree of F. Chopin in Warsaw at the Faculty of Jazz and a graduate of the Academy of Music Karol Szymanowski in Katowice in the department of jazz and stage music. Currently associated with the HoTS, Light Star Guiding, Warsaw Improvisators Orchestra and Opera Na Zamku in Szczecin.

Warren Galea

Born: April 1, 1991

Warren Galea is a Maltese Jazz Guitarist, Pianist, and Composer whose work blends Modern Jazz language with Classical structures and experimental composition. He has performed across Europe, the United States, and Asia. In May 2019 he released his debut album: The Odyssey, featuring Andy McKee on bass and Adam Nussbaum on drums. Later that year he became the first Maltese artist to perform at the iconic Blue Note Jazz Club in New York City, playing with his trio in the Blue Note Jazz Festival. 

Other international performances have included Nublu 151, ShapeShifter Lab, Rockwood Music Hall, the Bitter End, Williamsburg Music Center (NYC), the Honey Hive Gallery (San Francisco), the Octopus Literary Salon (Oakland), the Jazz Educators Network Conference (JEN) 2019 (Reno, Nevada), DDC, The Water Cube (Beijing), Katara European Jazz Festival (Doha, Qatar), the Malta Jazz Festival, the Dusseldorf Jazz Rally, Europe Day Festival (Vienna), Teatro Adriano (Cagliari, Sardegna) 'Les Sons d' Une Ile’ (Paris).

Alfredo Balcacer

Born: March 11, 1984

Alfredo Balcacer (b. March 11, 1984) is a guitarist and educator from the Dominican Republic. He graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Music Performance from Utah State University and a Master's Degree in Music Performance at Western Michigan University. After coming to the United States, he has studied privately with Corey and Mike Christiansen, Fareed Haque, Tom Knific. Alfredo has performed in the U.S., Brazil, Canada and the Dominican Republic, and has taught guitar privately for more than 15 years. Besides being a former member of award-winning groups such a Gold Company, Utah State University Jazz Orchestra, Western Michigan University Jazz Orchestra and Mas Que Nada Latin Ensemble, Alfredo was also a recipient of scholarships from the Dominican Republic, Utah State Caine College of the Arts and the WMU Department of Music

Robin Nitram

Born in Chamonix (Fr), raised in Normandie (Fr) and now living in Paris, Robin Nitram plays the guitar since he is a child. From high school rock band to jazz, music has always been part of his life. After graduated from the International Music Educators of Paris he is now playing, composing and teaching in Paris.

Zakk Jones

Born: June 22, 1993

Zakk Jones is a Columbus based guitarist, composer/arranger, and educator with a B.M. in Jazz Studies from Capital University. Raised in Portland, OR, he started playing piano at the age of 6, eventually receiving regional and national awards for composition with the PTA and “Fear No Music” project. After picking up the guitar in middle school, Zakk focused on playing in bands and preparing for music school, eventually attending Capital University with a large scholarship. In his 7+ years on the Columbus scene he has had the opportunity to play at major venues and festivals both locally and all over the country

Tomi Pekkola

Born: April 5, 1982

Tomi Pekkola is an avant-garde-guitarist-composer from Hamina Finland. Along the years he has played in various types of groups with progressive or avant-garde ethos. Pekkola is a guitarist with a respect to the classics but his work is best described as a combination of contemporary classical & free improvisation with an attitude towards both meditative & explosive expression. Pekkola's main area in composition is at the time with his The Bull In a China Shop Quartet, a group on Bruce's Fingers label, but his work as a composer includes pieces for orchestra, chamber opera, chamber music vocal music & musics for different genres.

Arlo Hennings

Minnesota music business entrepreneur, Arlo Hennings has more than 5,001 gigs notched on his guitar, which has taken him across the country and as far afield as South Africa and Bali. Before conceiving the idea of the Minnesota Music Awards, Hennings cut his teeth in the music field during his teenage years. His first lessons in the industry came from Al Jarreau’s manager, Patrick Raines where he worked as an assistant to his venue operation. Hennings also worked for 18 years as the artist manager for A&M recording artist Shawn Phillips. Under Hennings' management, Phillips earned multiple Gold and Platinum record awards. Combining his skills as a studio engineer, producer, and artist manager, Hennings succeeded in signing his roster of songwriters to one of the largest co-publisher/producer agreements in Minnesota

Kristinn Kristinsson

Kristinn Smári Kristinsson (b.1990) is an Icelandic guitarist, composer and improviser, currently living and working in Berlin. He is a co-founder of HOUT records and a member of the bands Monoglot and Minua. He has performed in various projects in Iceland, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, the Netherlands, Belgium, France, Italy, Hungary, Czech Republic and China.
