Anthony Labuguen

I grew up in South Elgin, Illinois, about forty miles west of Chicago. I went into the city often to visit family and friends and when I was older, I went myself, taking a commuter train or bumming a ride from friends that had driver's licenses. I learned to play harmonica-and the blues-on the infamous Maxwell St. (back when it was still there). I eventually went to school for a time in the Loop, at Columbia College, where I mostly majored in the City, its sights, and most importantly, its sounds. Music was big in my family, and while rock was an early favorite (especially Santana), and it co-existed quite easily in my record collection with jazz recordings( my favorite being late fifites to mid sixties jazz), jazz was what I wanted to play

Hi, I am a jazz, blues, and fusion guitarist living in the South Jersey/ Philadelphia area. Since 1992 I have been involved with a day gig in the financial world and have not been very active gigging. I recently was one of four artists featured on the Progressive Arts Music release "Fresh Blood". In addition, I am involved in producing demo clips for various equipment manufacturers such as Fuchs Audio Technology, Glaswerks Amplification, Lavacable, Hermida Audio (Zendrive), Eminence Speakers, Weber Speakers, Analogman, and Wolfetone Pickups...among others. I occasionally appear as a guest artist on other releases

Chris Mello

Born: September 9, 1976

Born in Boston, Chris began playing guitar at the age of 12. Growing up in a Portuguese family, his love for diverse music was already apparent, falling in love with the music of artists such as Tom Jobim, Pat Metheny, John Coltrane, and Brazilian composer Ivan Lins. Upon graduating from high school, he went on to formally study the guitar at the University of Massachusetts.

At an early age he found himself working in the pit orchestras of the Boston scene, musical theater productions, and performing with orchestral groups such as the MET Wind Orchestra and the Boston Pops. Musicall,y he was drawn to studying and performing jazz with local gurus Mick Goodrick, George Garzone, and Rick Peckham, in addition to continuing to work with Brazilian, Salsa, and other world music groups.

Fernando Alvarez Ariza

Fernando Álvarez Ariza : Nació en Santander, el 6 de octubre de 1977. Inicia sus estudios musicales en la dirección de cultura artistica de Santander DICAS, Continúa estudios de armonia con el maestro Rito Mantilla y guitarra clásica con el maestro Silvio Martinez en la Universidad Industrial de Santander, UIS, y se gradúa como Bachelor in music degree and workshop en Los Angeles International Christian University afianzando sus estudios de guitarra eléctrica, fundamentos del jazz y producción. Posteriormente recibe tutorias de los guitarristas Bruce Saunders y Pino Marrone. Eric VanDuyne

I studied George Russel's Lydian Chromatic Concept of Tonal Organization for a year with Ben Schwendener of the New England Conservatory. The whole thing is based on the notion of "tonal gravity" and is a great new way to think about chords, melodies, and how they relate to one another. I use aspects of it almost all the time in some way shape or form.

I had the advantage in that my childhood was in the 1970s, which I believe the best stage in the music's rock history, and was the epoca of the 'super bands' or so-called 'progressive Rock' or 'symphonic Rock.' It was a time of a lot of creativity, and inspiration. The lyrics of the songs expressed concepts of life, histories and fantasies each 'disc' was a musical work. I believe that all this influenced in my taste and passion for music. That was a time that I listened to bands like Yes, Pink Floyd, EL&P, Genesis, Supertramp, Jethro Tull and others. Federico Miranda

Born: January 20, 1976

Federico Miranda was born in Costa Rica in 1976 and has been playing the guitar since the age of 12. In 1993 he founded the band Gandhi, a vocal rock group that has become one of the most popular acts in the country. Since 1997 the band Gandhi has released 3 albums independently, with BMG, and with Sony Music, and has appeared in various BMG and Sony compilations including 'Tributo a Soda Stereo' (BMG U.S. Latin 2001). Their songs have reached top positions on national radio and have been featured in several music channels, including MTV Latino, Ritmo Son Latino (Mexico), and CNN en Español. In 2000 they were awarded 3 ACAM awards for their album 'Páginas Perdidas' (BMG), including Record of the Year. Gandhi has performed with international artists such as Aterciopelados (Colombia), La Ley (Chile), Jaguares (Mexico), America (U.S.), Zucchero (Italy), and Deep Purple (U.K.)
