Linda Kosut

Linda Kosut, a cabaret/jazz singer swings jazz, pop and folk, easily sings a repertoire from the standard to the obscure with fresh interpretations. Linda has performed over the years in San Francisco, Los Angeles, Chicago, New York and Seattle. She grew up in the Bronx (NY), and as she tells it, had a lifelong dream of singing and performing - yet she did not make that into reality until “later in life.” Since making that shift, and “putting one foot in front of the other, I have created opportunities and achieved a success with my music that I did not think was possible.”

Morris Northcutt

MORRIS NORTHCUTT is a distinguished trumpet soloist whose unique playing style and cultural heritage (the son of a Korean immigrant) have significantly impacted the music community. Hailing from the Pacific Northwest, he has released two acclaimed albums: “Tonada,” which delves into Venezuelan folk music, and “Moliendo Café,” featuring collaborations with multi-Grammy and Latin Grammy-winning artists, Domingo Pagliuca (trombone), Edward Ramírez (Venezuelan cuatro), Justo Morao (arranger/producer), and German Landaeta (mix and mastering engineer)

Zhivko Vasilev

Born: April 26, 1991

Zhivko Vasilev is one of the most popular Bulgarian kaval players. He is well known for his experiments with the kaval and the constant seeking for unexplored paths in music. Thanks to his experimental spirit he is constantly driven to combine traditional kaval sound with different western styles such as jazz, funk, latin, latin jazz, pop, electronic music and many more. The result of this incredible symbiosis is an exotic and unique style that he constantly improves. He hails from the Southern city of Smolyan, Bulgaria in the heart of the Rhodopi mountains. He inherited his love of music from his father and began his early training on the kaval at the NUI Dobri Hristov music school in Varna, Bulgaria

Halley Elwell

Halley Elwell is a songwriter whose memorable melodies, vibrant imagery and wit pull the ear somewhere old and new. Elwell boldly exhibits this in her song Sisters on the J Train, recently named a John Lennon Songwriting Contest finalist in the jazz catagory. Elwell wrote the song after riding the J train in San Francisco with a group of praying nuns. “At the time I was a confused and somewhat lost 20-something observing the colorful but divided lives of people in San Francisco. At the beginning my first instinct was to bristle and question, but ultimately the prayers of the sisters on the J train ended up being an unlikely gift that morning.” Weaving tales of travel and nostalgia into lush and layered rhythms, Elwell’s upcoming EP, Last of What I Know, pays homage to the sounds of late 1960’s and 1970s songwriters like Laura Nyro

Wyatt Moss-Wellington

Claes Janson

Born: July 30, 1947

Claes Janson is one of Sweden's truly broad-based artist, if not a jack of many trades. He sings rhythm and blues, jazz and songs, he interprets the popular versifiers Cornelis Vreeswijk,Povel Ramel, Carl Michael Bellman and Evert Taube, he's part of everything from small groups to big bands including such well known ones as Good Morning Blues, Ohman&Janson VSOP and Velvet Boys. Beloveds is a cabaret, a burial ground, a circus, a lullaby.

Beloveds is an ensemble that started in 2016 In Gothenburg, Sweden. Composer and singer Channa Riedel uses poetry in order to create music that is intimate, rugged and beautiful. They find inspiration from music such as Liberation Music Orchestra, Victor Jara, Hanns Eisler as well as Swedish and Jewish folk songs. Lyrics are by Palestinian, Swedish, American and Russian poets such as Vladimir Mayakovsky, Juliana Spahr, Stig Dagerman and Channa Riedel. 

In October 2019 debut album "Så tar natten dig åter" was released on Swedish indie label Abrovinsch Records. The music is a bittersweet mixture of jazz, folksongs, cabaret and progg (Swedish left-wing and anti-commercial musical movement from the 60s and 70s).

Channa Riedel

Born: October 15, 1990

Channa Riedel is a writer, poet and musician. She recently graduated from the Academy of Music and Drama, University of Gothenburg and the debut album of her band Beloveds was released in 2019. This year she will begin a master’s in Literary Composition at HDK-Valand Academy of Art and Design, and is currently working on her first collection of poems. Dahlia Dumont, leader of The Blue Dahlia: vocals, ukulele-player, singer-songwriter. Brooklyn-girl, but a nomad at heart, Dahlia Dumont traveled the world from an early age, always absorbing the cultural and musical influences in her path.
