He sings rhythm and blues, jazz and songs, he interprets the popular versifiers Cornelis Vreeswijk,Povel Ramel, Carl Michael Bellman and Evert Taube, he's part of everything from small groups to big bands including such well known ones as Good Morning Blues, Ohman&Janson VSOP and Velvet Boys. Beloveds is a cabaret, a burial ground, a circus, a lullaby.
Beloveds is an ensemble that started in 2016 In Gothenburg, Sweden. Composer and singer Channa Riedel uses poetry in order to create music that is intimate, rugged and beautiful. They find inspiration from music such as Liberation Music Orchestra, Victor Jara, Hanns Eisler as well as Swedish and Jewish folk songs. Lyrics are by Palestinian, Swedish, American and Russian poets such as Vladimir Mayakovsky, Juliana Spahr, Stig Dagerman and Channa Riedel.
In October 2019 debut album "Så tar natten dig åter" was released on Swedish indie label Abrovinsch Records. The music is a bittersweet mixture of jazz, folksongs, cabaret and progg (Swedish left-wing and anti-commercial musical movement from the 60s and 70s).

Channa Riedel is a writer, poet and musician. She recently graduated from the Academy of Music and Drama, University of Gothenburg and the debut album of her band Beloveds was released in 2019. This year she will begin a master’s in Literary Composition at HDK-Valand Academy of Art and Design, and is currently working on her first collection of poems. Jazz songwriter Burke Ingraffia has a rare lyrical gift in the Southern style of Mose Allison or Bob Dorough. A native of New Orleans, Ingraffia blends the sounds of jazz with the warmth of the acoustic guitar and his auspicious vocals. He has been a Kerville New Folk Finalist and has received awards from the Mid-Atlantic Song Contest in both the jazz/blues and folk categories. Burke Ingraffia's 2020 album, Waves, received critical acclaim and features some of New Orleans' finest musicians including Johnny Vidacovich, James Singleton, and John Gros and was produced by multi-Grammy Award winner Scott Billington (Clarence "Gatemouth" Brown, Professor Longhair, Bobby Rush).

Jesse Fischer

Jesse Fischer is a Brooklyn-based pianist, composer, and producer. Known for his warm, soulful touch and emphasis on melody, groove, storytelling and emotion, his unique voice combines elements of his own Jewish heritage with music of the African diaspora, jazz, hip- hop, and singer-songwriter genres. A recent awardee of the South Arts Jazz Road grant, as well as a three-time ASCAP Plus Award winner, Fischer has performed with many notables in the jazz, pop, and world music scenes, including Becca Stevens, Sarah Elizabeth Charles, Mino Cinélu, Grace Kelly, Lakecia Benjamin, and Deva Mahal. He has released several records as a leader, most recently Resilience (self-released, 2020), which PostGenre called “One of the best jazz albums of the summer of 2020”, and the Herbie Hancock/Head Hunters remix project Vein Melter (Tru Thoughts, 2015), created jointly with producer/multi-instrumentalist Sly5thAve. He is also a core member of the groundbreaking Brooklyn Afro-pop/jazz fusion collective Ajoyo and producer & engineer of their sophomore release, War Chant.
