Eric started piano lessons at a young age and took up the saxophone at age 12. After high school Eric joined legendary blues singer Bobby “Blue” Bland’s group and spent the next year and a half playing the performing across North America in nightclubs, theatres, and at venues such as the Monterey Jazz Festival, The Chicago Blues Festival, and the Essence Festival in New Orleans. Eric studied music at The University of Louisville, The University of Memphis, and graduated in 2003 with a B.F.A. from New School University in New York City. He also has also performed at the University of Ghana in Accra, Ghana and in Tokyo, Japan with the Gospel Voices of Memphis. Having a great passion for education, Eric taught K-12 music for 13 years in public and private schools
