Darryl Hall

Born: November 1, 1963

Darryl is an American born jazz bassist who has lived in France since 2004. Previously, he was in New York for twelve years where he performed with some of the world’s greatest artists, in many different genres of jazz and African American diaspora music. He was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, birthplace to many renowned bassists including Stanley Clarke, Jaco Pastorius, Alphonso Johnson, Charles Fambrough, Percy Heath, Jymie Merritt, Christian Mcbride, Arthur Harper, Tyrone Brown, and Victor Bailey.

While in New York, Darryl performed with many jazz luminaries including Mulgrew Miller, Carmen Lundy, Hank Jones, Mary Stallings, Geri Allen, James Williams, Stefon Harris, Regina Carter, Ravi Coltrane, and Robert Glasper, among others

Jaehyun Cho

Born: February 25, 1987

Jaehyun Cho was born and grew up in Seoul, South Korea. He began playing electric bass when he was seventeen. From 2008 to 2010, He served in the Korean Air Force band as a bassist and attended the international military band festival in Rotterdam, Netherlands as a member of Korean national military band in 2009. Although Jaehyun is a native of Seoul, South Korea, his career began when he moved to Los Angeles in 2012 and attended California State University, Northridge where he studied and performed with Gary Pratt, Dave Robaire. Gary Fukushima and Mike Mull among many others. In 2018, he moved to New York City, and he attended the masters program at NYU where he studied with Drew Gress, Billy Drummond, Ari Horning, Alan Ferber, Mike Rodriguez and Billy Drews

Beth McPherson

Born: June 16, 1998

Berklee College of Music Class of 2021, dual major in Bass Performance and Jazz Composition I have been playing both electric and upright bass for 13 years and have experience playing all styles of music. My specialties include metal, jazz, funk, R&B/soul, progressive/fusion (rock, jazz, funk), Latin/Brazilian, and world music (Mediterranean, Arabic, Circus). I also have experience playing pop, rock, country, and extensive musical theater pit orchestra experience. One of my strengths is sight reading and the ability to create bass lines that are melodic while still maintaining the foundational role of the bass. I have experience touring (Mystical Hot Chocolate Endeavors, The Witching Hour tour, October 2019) and played in the backing band for Youtube-famous comedian Chris Fleming at his Boston stand-up comedy show in 2018 at the Wilbur Theater.

Anton DeFade

Nashville born, Pittsburgh raised Anton DeFade has established himself as one of the most in demand bassists in the Pittsburgh area and beyond. He is a full time member of the soul/rock band, The Commonheart, and when he's not touring the country with them he splits his time writing, arranging, and freelancing in his hometown of Pittsburgh. As a child, Anton was introduced to many different styles of music by following his dad, Ray DeFade Jr., around to his gigs from loud rock concerts to intimate jazz performances. A decade later at the age of 14, he began working as a professional musician performing in various rock groups, jazz gigs, and local productions of musicals

Tim Aucoin

Tim Aucoin is a nationally recognized music educator and bassist. He is a native of New Orleans, but now resides in Atlanta, GA. Tim has performed internationally with many diverse acts such as Grammy nominated jazz vocalist - Nnenna Freelon, the Glenn Miller Orchestra, the Mamas and the Papas, Allen Toussaint, Pete Fountain, Luther Kent and Trickbag, and the Georgia Symphony Jazz Orchestra. He continues to be active in the Atlanta jazz and commercial music community. In addition to recording as a sideman, he has released two albums of original jazz music, "Swing First, Think Later," and most recently, “Mystified,” by his band, Professor Aucoin and the Jazz Scientists

William Chernoff

Born: January 5, 1995

William Chernoff is a Canadian bassist from New Westminster, British Columbia. Will performs original instrumental music and has played professionally on both upright and electric bass since his teens. He is best known as the founder of Rhythm Changes, an online publication covering creative music in Canada with a focus on the Vancouver scene.

Björn Meyer

Born: September 5, 1965

Björn Meyer — born in Sweden and based in Switzerland since 1996 — is acclaimed for his category-defying musicianship, expanding the sonic and expressive possibilities of the electric bass across a multitude of genres, both within and beyond its traditional role.

Initially a hobby guitarist headed for a degree in computer science, Meyer’s life changed at 18 when he first encountered the electric bass. Within five years he had completed his studies, left the world of computers, and begun touring professionally — launching a career he has pursued ever since, beginning in 1989.

Born: January 11, 1972

Ryan Burns studied piano at Berklee School of Music in Boston, and has been teaching and playing music professionally for over 20 years. He has performed with Rock and Roll Hall-of- Famers Jimmy Page (Led Zeppelin, Yardbirds), Matt Cameron (Pearl Jam, Soundgarden), Mike McCready (Pearl Jam), Ann & Nancy Wilson (Heart), Chad Smith (Red Hot Chili Peppers), Rick Nielson (Cheap Trick) and Duff MacKagan (Guns and Roses); as well as with elite jazz artists such as Wayne Horvitz, Skerik, Matt Jorgensen, Thomas Marriott, Bobby Previte, Bobby Watson and others. Burns has played piano with the Tacoma Symphony, wrote music for the Food Network TV show “Food Nation with Bobby Flay,” and played piano with the group Thunderpussy for the soundtrack of the Hollywood movie “Fighting with My Family.” Burns spent time on faculty at University of Puget Sound and Pacific Lutheran University

TRi/O is a collaborative groove-based contemporary jazz & funk outing from three like-minded New York musicians: Steve Shapiro on vibraphone and mallet keyboards, virtuoso 5-string bassist Dave Anderson, and drummer Tyger MacNeal. Luca Lo Bianco

Luca Lo Bianco was born in Palermo on June, 13th 1974. He started playing electric bass when he was thirteen and after a few years he approached the double bass. He graduated with the maximum grade in double bass in 1999 under the guide of Mo. Franco Muzzi. In 2010 he obtained the Master degree in Jazz Music with Magna Cum Laude at the State Music Conservatory 'Vincenzo Bellini' of Palermo with a thesis entitled 'Musical syncretism in contemporary Jazz’.
