Musician

Q Morrow

Born:

Well schooled in many styles of music and guitar technique, Q is a rare breed of guitarist who feels at home in any style of music, on any guitar. Having studied extensively jazz, funk, pop, rock, and classical guitar here in the far West, Carnatic (South Indian Classical) and Hindustani music in the far East, Brazilian and Cuban music on the side, it would be no stretch to say that his versatility is his strongest point. What sets him apart from other world musicians is the fact that his interest in music is spiritual, not technical. To Q, music is an offering. Growing up in Caldwell, Idaho, a suburb of Boise provided Q with ample practice time

Balagan Cafe Band

An eclectic new project, this group combines the worlds of jazz, world music and classical, featuring the intimate chamber instrumentation of violin, guitar, cello and accordion and an elegant yet fiery fusion of improvisation and written music. Kate Thomas

"Pink Martini, Tom Waits, Amy Winehouse and Kate Bush walk into a ... festival" One of the most entertaining and engaging shows I have ever experienced ... Kate’s phenomenal charisma and encouragement of audience interaction created an electric atmosphere ... an exceptionally talented performer; the audience singing along, dancing and rewarding every song with rapturous appreciation ... such a superb talent ... She is certainly one to watch and an artist we hope to work with again in the near future." - ARTHOUSE MUSIC Eclectic British singer-songwriter Kate Thomas grew up in a small town in Essex called Laindon, near a place nicknamed 'Alcatraz'

Read "Eclectic" reviewed by Stephen Latessa

The most obvious antecedent is the Grateful Dead, particularly the song-oriented era of Workingman's Dead/American Beauty. The album is split down the middle between relatively straightforward ...

The Eclectic Troubadours: Eclectic

Read "Eclectic" reviewed by John Eyles

"The Eclectic Troubadours are a band of serious musicians on a quest to challenge themselves musically but to also play songs people like. That quote rather succinctly sums up this album. The four band members are all based in New York City, where they work as freelance musicians. Some lead their own bands; all are very ...
