Kevin Dorrian

One of the hardest working swinging drummers, Kevin blends deep rhythmic vitality with an innate sense of super-accurate feel and timing. He is known for great subtlety in his accompaniment, delivering subtle nuances within the scope of his drumming and is both creative and adaptive in his approach to whichever musical style is called for. He is primarily a jazz drummer – equally at home in the context of an instrumental group, or as a part of a backing trio for an accomplished singer.

Playing drums has been a burning passion of mine since I was a young boy. I can still recall the first time I sat behind a drum kit. I was about four years old and fortunate to be the son of one of Scotland’s top jazz pianists. His drummer had a glittering Blue Slingerland drum kit – and from the moment I sat on the stool – I was hooked! Fast forward ten years and I began drum lessons having already spent time learning piano, but my path was to combine learning Orchestral percussion with playing with an assortment of school rock, blues and jazz groups. Unquestionably, I earned my spurs, by sitting in, listening to other drummers, buying records which featured great drummers and so on. My influences back then are similar to the ones I have now – drummers with a ‘sixth sense’ for the purity of their playing – and in particular, a ‘roll call’ of great jazz drummers from the 40′s and 50′s- too many to mention, but who all play with such verve and swing. I am fortunate enough to be called upon very regularly as a small group drummer – backing vocalists, playing in instrumental groups, etc and you’ll find me currently filling the drum stool with JazzMain and Bossa Trio

Enrico Morello

Born: 1988

Born in Rome (Italy) in 1988, Enrico Morello began to play drums at an early age, when he was 9 years old. He started studying and playing jazz music at “Scuola Popolare di Musica di Testaccio” (Rome) at the age of 13 and he continued his studies attending the summer workshops at “Siena Jazz” (Siena, Italy) in 2006 and 2008. It was there that he was selected for the additional masterclasses with Enrico Rava and Gianluigi Trovesi. Over the following two years, he attended a special course for professional musicians in Siena, entitled In.Ja.M – International Jazz Master Program “Master Of Higher Education In Jazz Improvisation Tecniques” , obtaining the highest awards and a full scholarship

Yorgos Dimitriadis

Yorgos Dimitriadis, born 1964 in Thessaloniki Greece, is an experimental musician, composer performer based in Berlin. Using percussion, microphones, field recordings and minimal electronics his music focuses on real time sonic landscapes, with an emphasis on timbre, sound color and long durations.

Since 2006 he lives in Berlin and appears at festivals and concert series worldwide.
He has performed/recorded as a soloist and in collaboration with an array of renowned international artists like Audrey Chen, Paul Dunmall, Tristan Honsinger, Alexander von Schlippenbach, Matthias Bauer, Frank Gratkowski, Lori Freedman, Michel Doneda, Amir ElSaffar, Tobias Delius, Marc Turner, Hilary Jeffery, Robin Hayward, Oguz Büyükberber, Meinrad Kneer, Silke Eberhard and many more.

Ali Jackson

Award-winning musician, composer, arranger, educator, and percussionist Ali Jackson developed his talent at an early age. A virtuoso, Ali has contributed significant musical works as a composer and arranger and he holds the distinction of being the first percussionist to perform and create music across the entire spectrum of musical styles. JAMBa began in 2010 as a collaboration of studio musicians, headed by John Anter and Marty Ballou. Their first album, “If You Need Me” featured the world’s most recorded drummer, Bernard Purdie. Bernard’s credentials are too numerous to list but we’ve mentioned a few below. For the OFF WHITE project, we recruited studio veterans Bruce Bartlett, Sonny Barbato, Dave Zinno, Joe Klimek and, once again, Bernard Purdie. Collectively, these seasoned studio players have worked and/or recorded with: James Brown, Aretha Franklin, Steely Dan, Jeff Beck, Hall and Oates, John Scofield, Nelson Riddle, Marian McPartland, NRBQ, Miles Davis, Slide Hampton, Paul Simon, John Medeski, Adam Nussbaum, King Curtis, Peter Wolf, John Hammond, Dizzy Gillespie, Jimmy Cobb, John Hicks and many others….

Guillermo McGill Ferrari

Guillermo McGill Bio Drummer, percussionist, professor, composer and producer, has played with many outstanding artist from Jazz and Flamenco: Enrique Morente, Dave Liebman, Tete Montoliu, Juan Manuel Cañizares, John Abercrombie, Wynton Marsalis, Marc Johnson, George Mraz, Niño Josele, etc. Member of Chano Dominguez trio together with Javier Colina from it´s creation in 1991, he takes part on Fernando Trueba´s film Calle 54. He has published five recordings as a leader, plus more than 70 recordings as a sideman. Played at some of the most important theaters and auditoriums in the world such as Carnegie Hall, The Marinsky Theater, Queen Elizabeth Hall, Teatro Real, Auditorio Nacional, etc. Drum and ensemble teacher at the mos important jazz schools in Spain since 1984: Taller de Músics de Barcelona, Taller de Músicos de Madrid, Escuela de Música Creativa, Musikene.
