Leon Pantarei

Maciek Schejbal

Born: October 10, 1958

Maciek Schejbal grew up in Cracow, Poland where he earned a Masters Degree in classical percussion from the Academy of Music. He honed his craft in the jazz, fusion, classical, and avant-garde scenes of Cracow and taught at local music schools. He had the great fortune to share the stage with legends of Polish song, Ewa Demarczyk and Marek Grechuta, from whom he learned the art of performance. After performances with the Cracow Radio Symphony Orchestra in England (which included the world premiere of Penderecki's Polish Requiem), he decided to stay behind in London and after several months emigrated to South Africa. Maciek’s decade in South Africa allowed him to continue to develop his wide-ranging musical interests

Overview

Jonas Linnemann (1981) has shown to be very versatile in terms of musical styles and genres. As co-leader of the formation StarkLinnemann he recorded six albums Awake (2014), Transcending Chopin Volume 1 (2016), Transcending Chopin Volume 2&3 (2016) Pictures at an Exhibition (2018) Transcending Beethoven Volume 1 (2020) Transcending Beethoven Volume 2 (2021). The genre of StarkLinnemann is best described as: Universal Crossover Music.

After Jonas Linnemann graduated at the Fontys Conservatory in Tilburg (NLD) in 2005, he continued to develop musically as instrumentalist and composer. He has worked as drummer and percussionist with many renowned Jazz musicians.

He is currently residing in Tilburg (NLD) with Jessica and their daughter Adinda. From there he is performing with the StarkLinnemann Trio/ Quartet / Quintet and subbing with other music groups throughout Europe. At the moment he is working on original music for a new Stark-Linnemann album entitled; Transcending Liszt. It will be released for UCM-Records in autumn 2022. In addition he is also keeping a busy teaching schedule.

Vassilis Podaras (aka Billy Pod) was born in Athens,Greece in 1988. He started playing drums at the age of 11. His musical studies include 6 years of classical piano and violin lessons. At the age of 18 he was accepted at the jazz department of the Ionian university of Corfu and 5 years later he got his Bachelor degree and later his Masters degree in jazz performance. From 2009 he is one of the most active musicians in the Greek jazz scene collaborating and performing internationally at festivals and venues in Europe,USA and Asia. Tivon Pennicott, Jd Walter , Emmet Cohen ,Rufus Reid ,Bobby Sanabria ,Manfred Schoof ,Olivier Temime ,Timo Lassy ,Dean Bowman ,George Kontrafouris ,Takis Paterelis ,Vasilis Rakopoulos ,Dimos Dimitriadis ,Dimitri Vasilakis ,Vasilis Xenopoulos ,Nikolas Anadolis among others are some of his latest collaborations. Andreu Pitarch

Born in Barcelona in 1994, Andreu Pitarch started playing the drums when he was just eight years old, inspired by the music he heard at home, thanks to his father, a huge Jazz fan, and also his mother, who always took him to all concerts she could. The music of Art Blakey and the Jazz Messengers, Miles Davis, Keith Jarrett, Pat Metheny and Weather Report became the soundtrack of his childhood. As a child, he studied at a small school in the Raval neighborhood in Barcelona, and later at the Taller de Músics until 2012, when he entered ESMUC (Catalonia Music School), where he continued his training and earned his undergrad degree under the tutelage of David Xirgu, Lluís Vidal, Horacio Fumero, Albert Bover or Joan Díaz, among others
