Michel Berthiaume - Drummer and composer

Michel Berthiaume has a master’s degree in jazz performance from McGill University and has completed his training through private studies with John Riley and John Hollenbeck. He has released two albums as a leader featuring original compositions. departure (XXI-21 productions) and recently Uncompromised (Independent). Some notable performances include a series of video episodes of the Mark Stein Show featuring internationally acclaimed vocalists such as Cheryl Bentine, Patsy Gallant, Robert Davi, and Carol Welsman, a Canadian tour with the Toronto signer Sophie Milman, a recording and European tour with the Jean-Nicolas Trottier Quartet and an award- winning recording and Quebec tour with Susie Arioli. Michel has also performed or recorded with Steve Davis, Chet Doxas, Kirk MacDonald, Kevin Turcotte, Joe Sealy and Jim Vivian.
