Antonio Sanchez

Born: November 1, 1971

Born in Mexico City, 5 time Grammy Award winner Antonio Sanchez began playing the drums at age five and performed professionally in his early teens in Mexico’s rock, jazz and latin scenes. He pursued a degree in classical piano at the National Conservatory in Mexico and in 1993 enrolled in Berklee College of Music and New England Conservatory, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude in Jazz Studies. Since moving to New York City in 1999, Antonio has become one of the most sought-after drummers in the international jazz scene. Following 18 years and 9 albums as one of the most revered collaborators with guitarist/composer Pat Metheny, he also has recorded and performed with many other most prominent artists like Chick Corea, Gary Burton, Michael Brecker, Charlie Haden and Toots Thielmans. In 2014 Sanchez’s popularity soared when he scored Alejandro González Iñárritu’s Birdman or (The Unexpected Virtue of Ignorance) which ended up fetching 4 Academy awards (including best picture) and for which Antonio won a Grammy award

Tony Faulkner

Tony Faulkner is a fine musician who has built an impressive body of work over the last 35 years. He is a stylish, and much recorded, Composer and Arranger, a great drummer and one of the UK’s foremost experts on the life and work of Duke Ellington (or “Ellingtonia” as it is often termed). “Thad Jones and the Ellington Effect” is a seven part suite of pieces based on the chapters of a Masters dissertation completed some years ago by Tony in which he attempted to show how Thad Jones had been influenced by Duke Ellington both in his writing and arranging, and in the way in which he used the jazz Orchestra he co-led with drummer Mel Lewis from 1966 to 1979

Ken Serio

Born: July 14, 1964

Ken Serio has been playing the drums since the age of 11, and has studied with the great Joe Morello, Kenwood Dennard, and Zak Danziger. He has a large recording and touring list, including Mark Egan, Vic Juris, Ronnie Earl, Bill Turner (guitarist for Bill Haley and the Comets), Crosscurrents, Calvin Hill, Danny Gottlieb, Pete McCann, Gil Goldstein, Leo Jordan, Dave Mann, Dave Mullen, Billy Eric, Victoria Warne, Stefanie Seskin, and groups including, Racing 8, Dem Brooklyn Bums, Asylum and Bed Of Nails. Ken also performs drum clinics for Hot Sticks drum sticks SJC Drums and Dream Cymbals which he proudly endorses, and various studio work including jingles for Kelloggs and Coca Cola. Ken also has four cds out under his own name

Steve Parry

Steve Parry’s first official release, this two track single recorded in 2006 features a full big band line up, with one exception….. Steve plays all the instruments! Drums, Piano, Bass, Trombones, Trumpets and Saxes! If that wasn’t enough both tracks were written and arranged by Steve and recorded at his in house studio. Look out for Steve’s debut album which will be released soon. “It All Starts Here” was released by GLP in November 2006 exclusively to digital services.

Leo Ciesa

LEO CIESA ( www.leociesa.com ) is a drummer, composer and educator based in New York City. He is best known for the New York City hardcore jazz duo ICONOCLAST (www.iconoclastnyc.com), which he co-founded with saxophonist Julie Joslyn in 1987, and also for being a longtime member of Nick Didkovsky's 8 piece avant-rock ensemble DOCTOR NERVE (www.doctornerve.org), which he joined 1988. Ciesa also has a solo project that became "COAT OF ARMS - MUSIC FOR SOLO DRUMSET", a 50 minute CD with 22 solo pieces. Vic has performed live and/or on recordings with jazz guitar legend Pat Martino, Larry Carlton, Dave Fiuczynski, Allan Holdsworth, Andreas Oberg, Scott McGill, David Torn, Alex Domschot, Gongzilla, bass greats Marc Johnson, Percy Jones, Michael Manring, Dave Carpenter, pianists Otmaro Ruiz, Marian Petrescu, Jordan Rudess, Jim Ridl, Tamir Hendelman, Kuno Schmid, Nate Adderley Jr., percussion legends Louie Balzo, José Madera, singers Maria Muldur, Lorrie Morgan, David Clayton Thomas, Helen Reddy, Martha Reeves, Bobby Rydel, Miles Jaye, Tony Desare, The O’Jays, Sam Moore, Bobbi Eakes, and Grammy award winning producers Neil Kernon (Hall & Oats, Yes, Brand X) and Joe Donofrio (Pat Martino). In addition to extensive live performances and recording sessions, Vic has engineered and produced countless projects at Giant Steps Recording, which he has owned since 1992. Tad Britton
