John Armato
Born:
A Kansas City native, New York City ex-pat, and now Sacramento resident, John Armato appears on releases by Tom Giovagnoli, Peter Petty, Tony Underwood, Claudette Stone, and Lisa Bloecher. "The Drummer Loves Ballads" is his first release as leader.
Armato came up as a sideman in Kansas City in the 80s and 90s working with local society bands and jazz leaders as well as backing touring acts and “ghost bands” such as The Ink Spots, The Platters, and The Jimmy Dorsey Orchestra. He was also a member of the Kansas City Chief's "Pack Band." Relocating to New York and then Sacramento brought Armato new opportunities to work with jazz artists such as tenor saxophonist Bob Kindred, vocalist Anne Phillips, cornet legend Warren Vache; and smooth jazz headliners such as Paul Brown, Darren Rahn, Steve Oliver, and Spencer Day. In recent years he has traveled Northern California with the Dean-O-Holics Rat Pack tribute show.

Born in 1978 in Kranj. He started his music career by learning trumpet at the Kranj music school. Towards the end of the primary school he got his first drums. He immediately started playing in the local jazz band. Later he joined the local brass band, and after graduating from the secondary school of economics he decided to go to the Bruckner Conservatory in Linz, Austria. He studied with acknowledged musicians like Doug Hammond, Harry Sokal and Alan Praskin. After he graduated, he left for postgraduate studies in New York. He decided to study at the acknowledged university The City College Of The City University Of New York

Richard Dray
Got the jazz bug at an early age, thrilling to the sounds of Bird, Diz and Monk. He spent his teenage years in the clubs of Soho listening to the great names of British Jazz including Tubby Hayes, Joe Harriott, Ronnie Scott and John Stevens. Friendship with Alexis Korner lead to an interest in the Blues and when, many years later, he took up the drums he worked around the pubs of North London in various Blues bands. There followed a spell with Essex band Snagge working the London clubs including Kashmir’s and Taylors, before joining up with jazz singer Gill Ward. Since then he has worked with many local musicians including Martin Hathaway, Geoff Collins, Dan Banks, Ron Spack and groups Alto Egos and Real Time, He has worked most of the major jazz venues in Essex as well as visits to the Cambridge Jazz club, the Wolsey Theatre in Ipswich, No.10 in Mayfair and The Pizza on the Park Knightsbridge

Dannee Fullerton Born 1944 in Los Angeles, CA. In 1948 moved to Saudi Arabia with his mother to join his father who worked for the Arabian American Oil Company (Aramco)located in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia. At the young age of 11 years, Dannee found himself enrolled at the Institute Montana Zugerberg, an all boys international school in Switzerland. It was here that drums became a strong influence. His very first drum set was a pair of brushes and a set of bongo drums. His favorite musical "stars" at the time were Elvis Presley, Fats Domino, Chuck Berry and Little Richard. Along with singing, Dannee played the guitar and the drums. At the age of 14, he started a band at the Institute and gave concerts 3-4 times a year

Born into a family of drummers (a grandfather, two uncles & his father), Robert learned the basics from his father, who, along with his Uncle, were lifetime members of the NYC Musicians Union, AFM Local 802.
By high school, having started private lessons as well as classes in music theory, he was playing professionally all over the NY/Tri-State area.
