I have been blessed to have the opportunity to play many styles of music through the years. As far as study, I began playing the drums at the age of 8, in Portland, Maine with the Yankee Brigade, Jr. Drum and Bugle Corp. At the age of 10, I studied under Jack E. Rumbley, Lead Percussionist with the Ft. Worth Symphony, (Texas). At the age of 12, I studied in Boise, Idaho, under Alan Laye, (protege of Carmine Appice, (Vanilla Fudge, Rod Stewart), where I began learning proper double bass technique. In my late teens, I began playing professionally and continued throughout my collegiate career. I am a graduate of the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville, where I earned a B.A., Music and studied under Professor Chalon Ragsdale.

Scott McLemore

Scott McLemore (b. Feb. 1, 1973 Norfolk, VA) is a drummer based in Reykjavik, Iceland. He began playing music professionally at age 16 with a rock band in high school and joined the rock/funk band Ant Man Bee in 1990 with which he recorded an album and toured the east coast playing the college circuit.
McLemore attended the University of Virginia's Writers Workshop in 1990 where he met trumpeter John D'earth.
He attended Old Dominion University 1992-93 where he studied with John Toomey and also studied drums privately with Howard Curtis. He started performing with Toomey and bassist Jimmy Masters around the same time.

Frequently referred to as a "musical" drummer, Slocum possesses a distinctive voice on the instrument and is a propulsive, melodic and dynamic accompanist and soloist. He has toured throughout North America, Europe and Asia and has performed and/or recorded with artists such as Steve Cardenas, Gerald Clayton, Taylor Eigsti, Aaron Goldberg, Larry Grenadier, Jon Irabagon, Lage Lund, Linda Oh, Jerome Sabbagh, Jaleel Shaw, Walter Smith III, Dayna Stephens, Anthony Wilson, Ben Wendel, Sam Yahel and the Dallas Symphony Orchestra
