Been playing since I was 12 and had 4 years of piano prior to that. I've studied with Charlie Persip, Joe LaBarbera, and Bill Meligeri. Even had a lesson with Tony Williams. I've been playing with a couple of Jazz groups out in NJ. I'm not going to set the world on fire, but I have fun. I'll be playing in Red Bank at a couple of venues in July. I built my own drumset last year and they came out very nice.

-Ambition to explore and bring you the fusion of Jazz and Hip-Hop in it's purest form. Give a listen I've been playing the drums since I can remember. I've explored many genres with many different people as I grew up musicaly. I've always been very interested in improvisational music and using the ear. I beleive it's more important to add to the group and make beautiful sounding music than assert your skill in playing like a rudimental robot. I love playing out and I love Saratoga. Let me know about jamming, playing, gigging, recording, ect! I'm most inspired by Eric Harland, Brian Blade, Chris Daddy Dave, Carter Beauford, Paul Motian, Philly Joe Jones, and many many more.

Anthony Smyth
Born:
Anthony started playing drums at the age of 13. During the late 1970s, while still at school, Anthony was playing professionally in various bands in Canberra Australia. A move to Sydney in 1979 brought regular work in Fusion, Funk & Pop bands over the following 5 years. During this time Anthony played with Steve Reinthal, Jack Jarvis, Robin Riley, David Nicholas, Tony King, Richard Wilkins and Dorian Mode. The later part of the '80s provided the opportunity to work in various audio visual production projects, leading to technology based activities becoming more prevalent than performance. No recorded work remains in the public arena; a situation being work upon with some vigour and urgency.
