Paul Unger is currently the Assistant Principal Bass of theFort Worth Symphony Orchestra.An accomplished bassist and composer, Mr. Unger’s versatileabilities have allowed him to appear as a featured soloist withthe Fort Worth/ Dallas Ballet, the Fort Worth SymphonyOrchestra and the Mimir Chamber Music Festival. His diverseabilities have also allowed him to perform and/or record with such diverseartists as Elle King, Cheryl Bentyne, Byron Stripling, Bobby Shew, Bob Newhart, Bernadette Peters, Jay Clayton, Peggy Stern, Ricki Derek, Montango, Andrea Bocelli and The Who.Paul was instructor of Double Bass at TCU from 2005-2007and is currently performs with internationally recognized singer, Suzi Stern and guitarist Tom Reynolds. Mr. Unger is also a member of thecritically acclaimed jazz group, “Flipside”. A group referred to inCadence magazine as “contemporary jazz at its best”, “exhilaratingand challenging music making that is rarely dull. A band not to bemissed”.In 2015, Mr. Unger won two awards from the Fort Worth Weekly.One for “Best Bassist” and one for Flipside as “Best Jazz Group.”

Johnny Case

Johnny Case was born into a musical family on August 24, 1947 in Fort Worth, Texas. Both parents (J.C. and Floy Case) had been active in early country music during the 1930's and 1940's. The music activities resumed in the mid-1950's in Paris, Texas where Johnny and his older brother Jerry Case were child performers on regional country music shows. An intense interest in R&B led to Johnny's obsession with modern jazz while in his early teens. This is when Johnny Case began to teach himself to play piano. Jerry was already a guitarist in a local dance band and soon had his younger brother playing professionally

Chuck Fesperman

Chuck Fesperman is a jazz trumpeter. Originally from North Carolina, Chuck studied music at Appalachian State University and the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. He was a member of the Charlotte Jazz All-Stars. He performed with the United States Coast Guard Training Center Bands in Cape May, NJ and Petaluma, CA. Over the years, Chuck has performed with various bands across the country, including The Memphis All Stars, The Herb Williams Band, The Mob City Swingsters and also with the late Marcel Evans (formerly with The Drifters). Chuck now resides in Dallas, Texas where he performs with his band, The Chuck Fesperman Group

Bobby Falk

The Bobby Falk group is a contemporary jazz group based in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, performing original music and contemporary jazz. Bobby Falk is the drummer/leader since 2006, upon starting the group in Louisville, KY, and relocating to Dallas, TX in the summer of 2015. The group primarily focuses on material blending modern and traditional jazz, with fusion influences ranging from Pat Metheny, Rick Margitza, Michael Brecker and Steps Ahead. In addition to Bobby’s acclaimed original music, the group features writing from the other band members on a consistent basis.

The Bobby Falk group has released three full-length albums of original material (Samuel street songs, A New day, With my Dallas friends), and have performed locally and nationally, across the country at acclaimed events and festivals. In addition to local club/private performances, the group has been selected to perform at the Huntingburg Jazz fest (2013), Lexington library concert series (2014), Katy Jazz festival (2017), Durant jazz festival @ Southeastern Oklahoma State university (2018), Fort Worth main street arts festival (2017-present), Denton Jazz and Arts festival (2016-present), Fort Worth library jazz concert series (2017), Grapevine “Grapefest” (2022), and Granbury Jazz fest (2022). Earlier this year, The Bobby Falk group also performed at the 13th annual JEN convention (Jazz Education Network) January 2022 in Dallas, TX. Jimmy Giuffre

Reedman and composer Jimmy Giuffre was born in Dallas, TX. He started his musical education at age 9 learning the clarinet and within few years he was proficient enough to give solo clarinet recitals at local functions. After high school he attended North Texas State University receiving a B. A. in music. During his college years he played in local bands. Soon after graduation he enlisted in the Army and was a member of the official Army band. After discharge he became a professional arranger for several big bands including Boyd Raeburn's, Buddy Rich's, Jimmy Dorsey’s and most famously in Woody Herman’s where he also played tenor sax
