Cort Lunde
Cort Lunde consists of Thomas Cortes (bass, sampler, etc.) and Erik Lunde (trumpet, flutes, etc.). The duo focuses on translating objects such as the plant collection Flora Danica or a modernist painting into sounds, tones, and rhythms. Cort Lunde creates musical interpretations of nature and culture through a research-based process that evolves through instrumental synergy, digital electroacoustic processing, and the use of field recordings.
The result is a semi-avant-garde jazztronica universe, where the interplay between the underlying stories about, for example, plants, molecules, or mythological creatures, combined with the music, creates a unity that helps us get to know these phenomena better.
