Zac Carson

Bassist, composer, bandleader, and educator, Zac Carson has developed a modern playing style that draws from the jazz tradition, incorporating many influences from rock, classical, and folk. Currently based in Brooklyn, NY, Zac is known for his lyrical playing, innovative compositions, and intricate grooves.

Zac's recent album Something from Before includes original compositions that were written and recorded a month before the Covid-19 pandemic. The album features talented New York jazz musicians who each showcase their own voice and style through the music.

Performance highlights include performing alongside Chris Brubeck, Randy Brecker, the band Evanescence, and the premier of Harry Connick Jr.’s musical, Happy Elf

Mauro Gargano

Born: May 5, 1972

My name is Mauro Gargano, I was born in Bari in 1972 in Puglia, southern Italy. I do not come from a family of musicians. There was a slightly different music in my childhood house… My father was a racing driver, the rustle of engines accompanied my early life until my adolescence. But thanks to my grandfather’s and sister’s record collection, I enjoyed and loved music, in all styles, since I was very young. I started studying jazz with the electric bass with the bassplayer and organist Vito di Modugno and then double bass with Maurizio Quintavalle. Then I followed the Siena Jazz seminars in Italy, with Paolo Fresu, Furio di Castri, and Marco Tamburini

Matias Carazzo

Born: October 2, 1979

FLUTIST, CLARINETIST AND SAXOPHONIST For more than 10 years he has played professionally in projects of a wide variety within popular music, including Folklore, Tango, Candombe, (MPB) Brazilian Popular Music, Jazz, Funk, Flamenco and more. He trained on the flute at the "Astor Piazzolla" Superior Conservatory of Music of the City of Buenos Aires with Fabio Mazzitelli. He perfected himself in the study of the flute with Paulina Fain, clarinet, saxophones and improvisation with Martín Pantyrer, improvisation and sax with Rodrigo Domínguez, saxos, flute and MPB with Vinícius Dorín, Eduardo Neves, Antonio Rocha, Nivaldo Ornelas and Letieres Leite

Lauren Lee

Born: July 16, 1987

Lauren Lee is a forward-thinking vocalist, pianist, and composer based in New York City. A native of the St. Louis (MO) metropolitan area, her foray into creative music began as a teenager in the St. Louis Symphony Chorus, an experience that lead her on a wild goose chase of sorts to find her own sound in the adventurous music scene as a young innovator in a special brand of improvisation she calls “Vocal Instrumentalism”. Likened to female jazz pioneers that came before her like Carla Bley and Jen Shyu, Lee’s music has been described as, “equal parts hip jazz, avant adventure, and… something completely different” (John Pietaro, Dissident Arts)

Adrián Moncada

Born: October 8, 1994

Adrián Moncada is an Amsterdam based pianist and composer originally from Madrid, Spain. He started this studies in the Netherlands in 2014, and graduated Cum Laude from the jazz performance program at CvA in 2020.

During his time in NL he received lessons and masterclasses from musicians like Brad Mehldau, Gerald Clayton, Harmen Fraanje, Rob van Bavel, Karel Boehlee and Franz von Chossy.

He has participated in various prestigious competitions such as: Keep an Eye Competition, Dutch Jazz Competition, and Leiden Jazz Award; and played in some of the most important venues in Europe: Bimhuis (Amsterdam), Lantarenvenstern (Rotterdam), North Sea jazz (Rotterdam), Hot club Portugal (Portugal) and Jamboree Jazz (Spain).

Francesco Geminiani

Tenor Saxophonist and composer Francesco Geminiani comes from beautiful Verona (IT) before moving to Switzerland, NYC and Paris. An endless musical curiosity drives him across styles and melodies, sharing the stage with great human beings across the New and the Old World. Inspired by the masters, he embraces impressionism to connect with the curious listener. In March 2018 "Auand records" released his album “Colorsound”, this work has been entirely recorded and produced in New York City with some of the best up and coming young musicians: Rick Rosato on Bass and Mark Schilders on drums. His second Album “Red Sky, Blue Water” has been released in the spring of 2021 by “Fresh Sound New Talent”

Dom Angelo Mongiovi

Born: March 4, 1982

Guitarist, producer and researcher, master and PhD in music from the University of Aveiro (Portugal), Dom Angelo Mongiovi covers a versatility of works related to the artistic universe.Early in his career he released two albums with the band Mula Manca & Fabulosa Figura, O Circo da Solidão (2004) and Amor & Pastel (2007). Then he visited the work of Chico Buarque de Holanda with the band Seu Chico, launching the DVD Tem Mais Samba (2010) in partnership with Canal Brasil.As a "band leader", acting in the area of ​​jazz and instrumental music, he released three albums: Dom Angelo Jazz Combo (2010), Porto (2015), Mongiovi Trio (2020) and Mongiovi Trio II (2025)

Oleksandr Kolosii

In early 2023, saxophonist and composer Oleksandr Kolosii presents his new project "Paws Up" released on the label Unit Records (CH) and featuring a special line up of musicans who made a significant impact on Oleksandr's career: Carl Winther - piano, Doug Weiss - double bass and Anders Mogensen - drums.

The music for this project began to come “into one frame” after personal changes in Oleksandr's life after marrying his life partner. “This is a very special project for me” says Oleksandr. After 12 years of living abroad, travelling to over 54 countries and living in Copenhagen since 2017, he decided to move out to the countryside and experience family life again. “It was like a breath of fresh air” after leaving his parent's house in his early 20s to pursue his musical dreams worldwide…

Rodrigo Faina

Born: October 13, 1976

Rodrigo Faina is a composer and bandleader whose music often transcends conventional and outdated genre distinctions. An alchemist, able to blend the techniques of new music and the traditions of jazz, tango and other popular genres into a lush, progressive and evocative sound-world distinctively of his own. The unpredictable and adventurous nature of his musical output places him in a particular position within the contemporary music landscape, and has earned him the respect and admiration of the international music scene’s key figures, but at the same time, brings him in conflict with both: the avant-garde and conceptualist classical composers. Rodrigo’s music draws inspiration from literature, social inequality and abstract images, and his aim is to develop and renew musical heritage and traditions without losing the connection with the emotional, expressive and spiritual aspects of music. Rodrigo’s music has been performed in prestigious venues such as the Kölner Philharmonie, WDR Funkhaus Köln, De Doelen and Muziekgebouw aan ‘t IJ. He has collaborated with renowned ensembles, soloists and conductors from Europe and the United States, such as Asko|Schönberg Ensemble, DoelenEnsemble, Metropole Orchestra, Zapp4, Nederlands Blazers Ensemble, David Kweksilber Big Band, Bulgaria National Radio Symphony, Platypus Ensemble, Kurt Rosenwinkel, Vince Mendoza, Etienne Siebens, Bas Wiegers and Claron McFadden among others.
