Pedro Molina

Born: March 4, 1989

Pedro Molina is a double bassist from Murcia (Spain), based in Porto (Portugal) since 2017. With A Name I Knew, he presents his second album as a bandleader. This quartet project (guitar, piano, double bass, and drums) brings together Portuguese musicians and explores an original repertoire rooted in jazz, ranging from pop/rock influences to free improvisation.

Initiated in 2022, the project has been presented at festivals such as Murcia Jazz Festival, Loulé Jazz, Criajazz, Out Jazz, Seixal Jazz, Guimarães Jazz, Festival Porta Jazz, Campus Jazz, Estarrejazz, and Qué Jazz é Este?.

Jason McGuiness

Infused in LA's jazz scene, Jason was a regular at the Piano Bar & Blue Whale where LA's rising talent would come to celebrate the music they loved. It was here that Jason first met with prolific saxophonist Kamasi Washington. In 2014 Jason recorded with Kamasi on an EP called Masterpiece. The 3 track EP featured new arrangements of classic tracks from The Temptations and was dedicated to the songwriting/producing duo behind it, Norman Whitfield & Barret Strong. 

In 2019 Jason released his debut album, Empyrean Tones, an exploration of cosmic jazz featuring some of the greatest musicians of our times: Phil Ranelin, Kamasi Washington, Keyon Harrold, Randal Fisher, Mark de Clive-Lowe, and more. The following year he released his sophomore album, Passages, together with frequent collaborator Matthew Little, along with Keyon Harrold, Camila George, Phil Ranelin, and others.

Hyeonseon Baek

Hyeonseon Baek is a Korean-born, New York-based jazz vocalist, composer, and educator. A graduate of the New England Conservatory, he has performed at venues including Birdland Jazz Club and Pangea NYC. His debut album, Longing (2024), features Kevin Hays, Linda May Han Oh, Jochen Rueckert, and Lucas Pino, and received a four-star review from All About Jazz and recognition among Jazz Weekly’s Top 10 Albums of the Year. Baek is a recipient of grants from the New York State Council on the Arts and the Queens Arts Fund.

Lucy Iffla

Lucy Iffla is a jazz and folk vocalist and songwriter. She has been performing for over a decade, captivating audiences with her soulful voice and heartfelt lyrics. 

Lucy's music is a blend of jazz and folk, with influences from artists such as Joni Mitchell, Billie Holiday, and Ella Fitzgerald. Lucy is known for her dynamic stage presence and ability to connect with her audience on a personal level.

From an early age Lucy Iffla had a passion for diverse music. This led her to complete a Bachelor of Music at the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts, graduating with the award for Best Bachelor Recitalist. Through her degree Lucy was privileged to work alongside esteemed international and national artists in Paris, New York and Japan. 

Simon-Mary Vincent

Born: April 19, 1967

Recipient of the Innovation in Business 2024 “Most Innovative International Composer & Performer” and “Musical Education Excellence” as well as the 2023 “Most Innovative Piano Music Composer UK” awards and nominated for a Paul Hamlyn Award for Artists in 2014, Simon-Mary Vincent is an Anglo-Hungarian performer and composer of acoustic and electronic music, who has been challenging the boundaries of genre and musical expression with a highly personal language since the early 1990’s.

“Visionary and expressive”, “rich and surprising”, “incredibly individual”, “masterful compositions”, “an immersive experience”, Simon-Mary’s music has attracted praise and radio play from critics as varied as Fran Wilson, Lauren Redhead, Ben Watson, Julian Cowley, Nick Luscombe, Robert Hugill, Robert D. Matt Jardim

Born: October 21, 1962

Matt Jardim is a guitarist with extensive experience and exceptional versatility. Matt has studied with Ted Dunbar, Kevin Eubanks, Eddie Berg, Dr. Ana Marie Rosado and earned a B.A. in Jazz performance from Rutgers University. He subsequently earned an M.A. in music education and after a long and storied career recently retired as a music educator with 32 years teaching in public schools. Matt's outstanding guitar ensembles from Elizabeth and Mountain Lakes High Schools garnered much praise and teen arts awards. As a performer, Matt continues to play with various bands such as Epic Soul, Yacht Rock Gold Experience, Random Acts of Soul and with his jazz trio or as a fingerstyle soloist.

If you compress the history of the universe into 365 days, Earth would be born in the beginning of September, the human race at 1145pm on December the 31st, and a human life of 80 years would correspond to 1/3 of a second. How do you use that time? 

Doublebassist and composer Erlend Olderskog Albertsen has summoned a handful of dear colleagues from the Norwegian jazz scene for an expedition towards new musical habitats. The crew consists of personalities that are associated with names such as ECM, Trondheim Jazz Orchestra, Espen Berg, Stian Carstensen, Jaga Jazzist, Marthe Lea, Wako and Miman.

Gili Lopes

Born: April 1, 1983

Born in 1983 in Porto Alegre, Gili was introduced to music through the sounds of Brazilian folklore. At the age of 14 he started learning the bass as a self taught musician and soon after started playing with local bands around his state. In his early 20’s he moved to London where he started studying the upright bass. He attended the prestigious Guildhall School of Music and Drama where he obtained a bachelor degree in jazz studies and worked extensively as a freelance musician in the United Kingdom for a decade after that. In 2013 he was invited to expand his studies in music at the Jazz Institute in Berlin where he obtained a Masters degree in composition and arrangement by the University of Fine Arts of Berlin (UDK)Gili Lopes has since performed in more than 35 countries around the world including Qatar, Canada, Bulgaria, Chile, Portugal, Jordan, South Korea and Turkey in venues such as Ronnie Scotts, Queen Elizabeth Hall, SummerStage in Central Park, Nice Jazz Festival, London Jazz Festival, Jazz at Lincoln Center, Adrienne Arsht Center in Miami, Seoul Jazz Festival, Frederic Chopin Philharmonic, Jazz is Dead in Los Angeles among many others.

Andy Rothstein

Blend the energy of rock with the complexity of jazz and the dynamics of blues and you just might end up with a unique style. New Jersey based guitarist Andy Rothstein’s unique musical voice can be attributed partly to his diverse musical influences, and party to the various electronic modifications that he has developed for guitars. 

Andy first began playing guitar at age 14. He graduated from Rutgers University, majoring in music and computer science, and he studied privately with Kevin Eubanks, Ted Dunbar, Steve Khan and Vinnie Zummo.

Andy has released three highly acclaimed recordings as a leader. His most recent release Truth Against the World (2022) spent over a year on the Roots Music Report Jazz charts, finishing #1 in the Top Fusion Album Chart for 2022.
