Jaylen Petinaud

Instrumentalist Jaylen K. Petinaud is thriving on the music scene as one of the most sought out drummers and composers in the entertainment industry. Born and raised in Brooklyn, the young talented drummer grew up playing in the church and followed the lead of many trailblazers. He graduated from Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts in 2016 and earned a Bachelor of Music degree in jazz studies at SUNY Purchase College in 2020. He studied with jazz greats Jon Faddis, Kenny Washington, and Matt Wilson. As Jaylen transitioned into his career, he developed a forward-thinking signature. Mentored by Zane Mark, his guidance helped Jaylen navigate to a different plateau.While he’s no stranger to the Broadway scene, Jaylen made his official Broadway debut as an arranger and composer of the recent Tony-nominated revival, “For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide/When the Rainbow is Enuff” under the direction of Camille A. Brown. Along with his contribution, he has done extended work with her company, “Camille A. Brown & Dancers” doing residencies and workshops. Simultaneously, he worked on the new musical, “Black No More” starring Tariq Trotter, known as, Black Thought from hip hop group “The Roots”. In addition, he’s been working on pre-productions of “A Wonderful World” and Disney’s “Aida”. He frequently performs with Broadway stars Joshua Henry, Amber Iman, and Brandon Victor Dixon. From Broadway to Television, Jaylen played live on PBS network with Brandon Victor-Dixon & went back to his roots playing the drums in a church scene on the Season 4 premiere of “The Last O.G.” starring Tracy Morgan. Jaylen is currently working on “THE HARDER THEY COME” at The Public Theater in NYC.

J. A. Granelli

Born:
J. Anthony Granelli is a native of northern California. He began to study bass at age eight with bassist and musical instrument pioneer Fred Marshall. In his teens Granelli moved to Seattle Washington where he performed with Jay Clayton, Julian Priester and Jerry Granelli while studying at Cornish College of the Arts.
Granelli received a BFA from California Institute of the Arts in 1991. At Cal Arts he explored creating a personal vocabulary of improvisation while studying with Charlie Haden and performing with John Bergamo and Miroslav Tadic.
After moving to Brooklyn New York in 1992 Granelli was very active in the scene that flourished around the Knitting Factory. While in New York he was a founder/ assistant director with Ralph Alessi of the School for Improvised Music an internationally attended program that runs during the summer. Granelli also helped to found and is assistant director of Jerry Granelli’s Creative Music Workshop in Halifax Nova Scotia, which just celebrated it’s twentieth anniversary in 2016. In 2006 Granelli earned a Masters Degree in Jazz Composition from New York University.

Having worked for the last +20 years as a sideman for numerous Danish artists, drummer Mikkel Villingshøj is now taking matters into own hands by releasing his first album as composer, bandleader, drummer and producer entitled "At This Juncture".
Lets go back in time to spring 2020. Suddenly the world we knew was changed drastically. Everybody knows what happened the following years, but especially for musicians and artists it felt like being struck by lightning. For Mikkel the consequences were huge. The loss of gigs, the shattering of a career built over 20+ years, and a future that looked rather murky, but it was also the spark that relit a musical flame that lives inside Mikkel.

Eri Chichibu

Dave Slonaker is a film and TV orchestrator, arranger, and composer and leader of the Dave Slonaker Big Band. His album, Intrada, featuring his compositions and arrangements, received a 2013 GRAMMY® nomination for Best Large Jazz Ensemble Album.
