Jonathan Ruiz

Active member of the Colombian jazz scene and professor at El Colectivo Music School, Jonathan Ruiz has participated in different kind of records including his project Azuljauz, modern band which reflects in his arrangements the liking for irregular metrics, the Pacific folklore, and the forefront sounds of New York through his compositions. His versatility has allowed him to participate in diverse formats from trios and ensembles to orchestras and big bands playing in addition to jazz styles such as Funk, salsa, folk music and rock. He has also stood out as a bassist accompanying various artists in different festivals, such as Dafnis Prieto and Miguel Zenón.

As a leader, Daniel has released two albums: "Molino," a captivating collage of world and new music, and "En Remolinos," a bold exploration that blurs the boundaries between improvisation and composition. His contributions can be heard on Parias Ensemble's experimental "St. Mark's sessions" and on the eclectic collaborative EP "re:SET vol:1”

Colombian musician Juan Andrés Ospina boasts a multifaceted career in the arts. Excelling as a composer, producer, arranger, and multi-instrumentalist, he further captivates with his performances as a vocalist, pianist, conductor, and comedian. As an online content creator, he blends wit and creativity in crafting his own videos and short projects, and his adeptness at facilitating and leading vocal improvisations distinguishes him as an extraordinary spontaneous creator, capable of guiding large groups and composing music extemporaneously.

Among his recent achievements is his production and vocal arrangement for Karol G’s smash hit “Mientras Me Curo del Cora,” where he meticulously recorded and performed 32 vocal tracks to create a rich, fully vocal accompaniment. This work earned him a nomination for Record of the Year at the 2023 Latin Grammys. The track features on “Mañana Será Bonito,” an acclaimed album that won a Latin Grammy for Album of the Year and a Grammy for Best Latin Rock, Urban or Alternative Album.

Born on May 4th 1994 in Dubai, UAE, guitarist Juan Dhas was immersed in music from the very beginning. At the age of 8, he began classical piano studies under Anton Tajanlangit, a member of the musical Tajanlangit family from the Philippines. However, Juan’s true passion for the guitar was ignited upon hearing a Hendrix album his father had bought; completely awe-struck, he asked his parents if he could study guitar. Juan’s wish was granted when he began studying with another Tajanlangit family member, Peter Tajanlangit, who saw great potential in Juan and nurtured his abilities over the coming years.
