Natalia Bernal, vocalist / cantora / composer / producer / educator
Chilean-born vocalist Natalia Bernal hails from Iquique, a city nestled between the Pacific Ocean and the Atacama Desert. Now based in the United States, Natalia’s rich and entrancing voice evokes the drama of the natural surroundings of her homeland. Drawing from songwriting traditions of Latin America, her original compositions and selections from the Great American Songbook surprise with a refreshingly improvisational texture.
Since 2009, Natalia has been the vocalist for trio "La Voz de Tres" (lavozdetres.com) which she co-leads with pianist Mike Eckroth and guitarist Jason Ennis. This Jazz/Fusion/Chamber ensamble has released "La Voz de Tres" and "Sueños y Delirios", and their most important US and Latin American performances include Blue Note New York in New York City, Municipalidad de Iquique in Iquique-Chile, Tempe Center for the Arts and The Nash in Arizona, Branford Jazz Festival in Connecticut, and Geneva Music Festival in New York amongst many.

Claudio Rubio

Claudio Rubio is a saxophonist, composer, arranger and educator from Santiago, Chile. Recived his education at William Paterson University prestigious jazz program from which he graduated Summa Cum Laude. While in USA he got to learn from jazz legends such as Rich Perry, Dave Liebman, Barry Harris, Steve LaSpina, Jim McNeely amongst others. Upon his gradtuation Claudio went back to Santiago to become a referential voice in the local scene as a frecuent colloaborator of Quintessence Ensamble -earning a Pulsar Price for the album "Décimo"- Christian Galvez, Francesca Ancarola among other fundamental figures of the Chilean Jazz Scene

Nicolas Vera

Nicolas Vera (35), is a guitarist and composer born in Concepción (Chile). In 1999 he starts collaborating with different musicians in Santiago, such as Christian Gálvez, Pancho Molina, Sebastián Jordán, Agustín Moya, among others. In 2003 he publishes his first album “Fiasco Contemporáneo” in Santiago, Chile, together with well known musicians of his generation (Félix Lecaros, Sebastián Jordán, Agustín Moya, Pablo Menares, Carlos Cortés). Since then he has published 5 albums as a leader as well as many collaborations: “Chile Finlandia Connection” (2011 - Mikko Innannen, André Sumelius), “La Resistencia” (2013 - Melissa Aldana, Pablo Menares), and others; "Eterno Retorno" - La Resistencia (2016); "Live At Thelonious" - Jure Pukl Quartet (2016); "La Rueda del Tiempo" - Vera / Menares / Lecaros (2016). He has toured Chile, Argentina, Belgium, México, and has played with Greg Osby, Aaron Parks, Drew Gress, Melissa Aldana, Leo Genovese, Mikko Innanen, André Sumelius, Glenn Zaleski, Jure Pukl, Gianni Gagliardi, Rodrigo Recabarren. In 2010 he co-founded Discos Pendiente, an independent jazz record label based in Chile.
