From a young age the singer's voice earned her audience and even an acceptance letter from Berklee College of Music, which DeClue would respectfully declined in favor of the burgeoning music scene in Austin, Texas. Her vintage vocals pairs well with the modern sensibility and a frankness that puts you face to face with the music. This has won her spots in top Jazz Combos and Big Bands affiliated with Texas State University
