Drummer Dave Fox has worked with a wide variety of aritsts over the past two decades such as Stan Strickland, Harvey Diamond, Dave Tronzo, Charles Neville, Lydia Warren, Brad Faucher/Session450 and Matthew Stubbs and The Antiguas. Dave has also worked extensively with two-time Grammy Award winning songwriter, producer and musician Tom Hambridge and his band “The Rattlesnakes”. Captivated by the transformational power of sound from his earliest years, David began music lessons that the tender age of 7 on clarinet. In the early years of high school he worked as a clerk at the Academy of Musical Arts in his hometown of Montclair, New Jersey to fund his musical education. During this time he steadily developed a growing passion for masterpieces of the “serious” literature, most especially the string quartets of Beethoven and the New Viennese School. His wind quintet earned him acceptance as a student of composition at the New England Conservatory, where he studied composition under Robert Ceely, and crossed paths with many towering figures of music including Robert McKinley, Jackie Byard and Gunther Schuller among others

Chris Pitts

Steeped in Post Bop and Blues, Detroit Saxophonist, Chris Pitts made Manhattan, San Francisco and Paris, his homes before moving to Boston. His bands have always featured energetic rhythm sections and adventurous music. He performs regularly in the Boston area and released a recording titled "42". Active as a music producer, he produces the annual Newton Piano Summit and music for several local fairs. He also serves as Festival of the Arts Chair in Newton and Co-chair of the Newton Cultural Council.

Dor Herskovits

Dor Herskovits is an Israeli drummer based in Boston. 
 He began pursuing his passion for music at the age of 14, studying drumming and guitar. Dor studied in Rimon School of Music in Israel, while performing with top local artists in the Israeli Jazz scene. In 2010 Dor transferred to Berklee College of Music on an international scholarship. After completing his Bachelor’s degree at Berklee, Dor had spent a year in New York exploring the affluent jazz scene and performing and teaching. During that year he had also participated in the semi-finals of the prestigious Thelonious Monk Jazz drummer competition. Recently, Dor had completed his Masters degree in jazz performance at the New England Conservatory

Kevin Sun

Born:

Kevin Sun is a saxophonist and composer living in New York City. His music has been called “...intense, harmonically virtuosic and compositionally complex" by DownBeat Magazine, and he has released seven albums to date—most recently, Quartets, in October 2024.

Sun has also recorded four albums with the ensembles Mute, Earprint, and Great On Paper, and he appears on recordings led by Jacob Garchik, Dana Saul, Xiongguan Zhang, and Elijah Shiffer.

In addition to performing in the U.S., Sun has performed extensively in China and has served as the Artistic Director of the Blue Note China Jazz Orchestra

Joy Reo

In 2014, Joy launched her career as a part-time professional jazz vocalist, performing with the Joy Reo Trio in Boston area venues such as Concord’s Colonial Inn, The Bull Run, and the Acton Jazz Cafe. The Joy Reo Trio is a cabaret jazz band in metro Boston that features soulful, sassy and classy songs that range from 1920s show tunes to 1940s jazz standards and 2010s pop hits. Vocalist Joy Reo is accompanied by the marvelous Molly Flannery on piano, and the divine Diane Heffner on clarinet and saxophone. Flannery has a distinctive fluidity on the piano, with her melodic improvisations, and an ability to groove in jazz, Latin, and Brazilian idioms
