Hub Hildenbrand

Born: September 12, 1971

Hub Hildenbrand (guitar, composition) studied at Music Conservatory in Rotterdam (NL) and with full scholarship at Berklee College of Music (Boston/USA). Student of Mick Goodrick, John Abercrombie, George Ruckert... Intensive study of turkish music (maqam). Conservatory of Turkish Music, Berlin. One of the very few musicians who have successfully adapted turkish microtonality to the guitar by means of string bending. Student of oud-master Nuri Karademirli. Intensive study of north indian Classical Music. Student of sarod-master Ranajit Sengupta. 5-month study in Calcutta, India (scholarship from Berlin government), followed by "The door we never opened", a solo-CD where Hildenbrand plays a double neck guitar, which he drafted himself and was built by Calcutta-based luthier Mukunda Biswas. Repeatedly featured by press (Jazzzeit, Jazzpodium, Jazzthetik, Jazzthing...), radio (rbb Kulturradio, Deutschlandradio Kultur, All India Radio...) and TV (Arte, ZDF, HR...)

Daniel Ondaro

Born: January 18, 1986

Guitarist, singer, and songwriter, Daniel Ondaro has a decade’s worth of experience performing his own compositions as well as Brazilian and Jazz standards worldwide. He is currently the front man for the project bearing his name and has also worked as front man for The Shy Birds in Berlin. As a sideman/songwriter he has worked with the US/Singapore touring group, NuMundo. Other collaborations include work with US based artists/groups, Victor Mestas Pérez, João Junqueira, Dexter Payne, Kailin Yong, Elisa Garcia, Rebecca Kleinmann, Amy Katchur, Lliam Christy, the Reventones, Ginga, and European based artists/groups, Isabela Santos, Jérôme B.Sedeyn, Konstantine Margaritas, Arabella Sprot, Rob York, Cisco Pema, Max Hartmann, Johannes Heger, Turi Agostino, Krzysztof Mianowski, Petros Tzekos, Odysseas Kyriakou and Sapucaiu No Samba. He has been a part of several recording projects including his latest release, “Summer Days” produced and recorded in Berlin, 2016 and the 2013 release of his debut solo EP, “Ao Brasil” produced in his native Colorado, USA

Roy Louis

Roy's passion is the guitar. He skillfully moves between the worlds of jazz and latin music and has developed his very own, distinctive style, over the time. The way, how Roy Louis and his Band perform their wide range of powerful songs let the listener almost feel as a part of the music. The experience Jazz veteran, has performed with the likes of Klaus Doldinger’s Passport, Roy Ayers, Isaac Hayes, Tom Brown, Ed Calle, Rachel Z, Hugo Fattoruso, Thad Jones, Toots Thielemans, Ronnie Laws, Warren Hill, Noel Pointer and Danilo Perez. His career as a musician also includes many recordings with international established artists from Europe and the U.S.A. Roy is also a very gifted Composer and an Arranger in a variety of styles such as Electric Jazz, from Small Band to Big Band and Studio Orchestra, Latin Combos to Salsa Orchestra and from any style of American Popular music to Scoring for Full Orchestra. As a Composer and Producer, he is best known among professionals for his unique compositional style, his harmonic concepts and sound productions

Susanna Bartilla

Raised to the sounds of Ella, Billie, Frank and Peggy Lee singing the Great American Songbook, the Berlin born Parisian vocalist Susanna Bartilla always knew she would be a jazz singer.

She inherited an unconditional love for the genre from her father, a crooner and sax player, who regularly took her out to see live music from an early age on, and it has often been said that she owes her sure sense of timing and swing to her gypsy grandfather.

All through her childhood she sang the alto voice in a choir and after moving to Paris aged 18, quite naturally studied to be an opera singer. After spending some years touring and recording with a professional vocal baroque group and gaining valuable stage experience, she found her way back to her roots and studied vocal jazz at renowned EDIM Jazz school and with some of the best French and American vocalists.

Hugo Fernandez

Born: September 25, 1971

The Hugo Fernandez Quartet mainly perform original "modern jazz" compositions, inspired by the richness of the jazz legacy and the energy of other genres such as pop/rock, classical and folk.

Native from Mexico City and Madrid, Spain, where he lived for 12 years.He has a Bachelor in Music from Berklee College of Music (Boston) and a Masters Degree from the University of New Orleans.As a leader has played his music in numerous venues in Europe and America.His last album "Cosmogram" is part of the prestigious American record label Origin Records and was selected by "Downbeat Magazine" as one of the best albums in 2015, with positive reviews by other specialised media as "Jazztimes", "All About Jazz" and "Rollingstone Magazine"

Gianpaolo Camplese

Sitting on a Drum-set since he was a little kid (father also Drummer) he’s being playing many kind of music, rock, funk, reggae, but since more than 10 years he's true passion has been Jazz, from the roots (New Orleans ragtime) until the contemporary Jazz scene. Also completely free improvised music is becoming lately an important part of the game. From 2001 he started to study in the music school “Percentomusica” in Rome. There he could study with Gianni di Renzo, Pierpaolo Ferroni, Andrea Avena, Massimo Carrano, Umberto Fiorentino, Massimo Moriconi. Also in Rome he attended the music school "Ritmix" and took private lessons with Marco Volpe in Milan. Moreover he attended many workshops such as, Berklee in Umbria (2 weeks workshop), Veneto Jazz (10 days workshop with the New School for Jazz & Contemporary Music of New York), Siena Jazz (2 weeks) In 2007 he spent 8 months in New York, where he had a chance to study with Ari Hoenig, and to perform around in some bars/clubs. He is a songwriter, pianist, vocalist with a range spanning more than four octaves, and a linguist who speaks five languages. His name is Kenny Wesley. With three acclaimed projects, numerous accolades, collaborations, compilation features, and high-profile performances under his belt, including a win as a finalist, and the United States representative, for the 2013 Montreux Jazz Festival’s Shure Vocal Competition, Kenny has firmly placed his stamp on the burgeoning modern music movement.

Diego Pinera

The drummer Diego Pinera grew up in Montevideo (Uruguay) and has now been living in Germany for several years. He studied drumming at the Berklee College of Music (USA), at the University of Music in Havana (Cuba) and at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater in Leipzig. He received lessons from Danilo Perez, Bob Moses, Jose Luis Quintana ‘Changuito’, and Kenwood Denard. Back in Uruguay he founded the Diego Pinera Trio and recorded the CD Buscando with the Perro Andaluz label.
