A unique blend of symphonic instruments with jazzy undertones, JasmPhonia is the nom de guerre of Eric Soleil, a gifted multi-instrumentalist/composer who utilizes acoustic symphonic voices and midi composition to create a rich mixture of chamber music and Nu-jazz styling. Eric has compiled his first CD, "Ad Astra Per Aspera" (To The Stars Thru Difficulty). For the longest time, Eric felt deeply riveted in classical music, particularly material from the baroque period. Even as a youngster he can remember feeling transported by this music's linear melody lines and their complex harmonic counterpoints

Alessandro Bottura

Born: June 3, 1984

Alessandro Bottura, 03/06/1984, started to get interested in music since he was a child, studying piano for 5 years, then guitar and drums until 2000, when he landed to the bass as self-taught. With the rock band NoLogo he performed in lots of liveshows in Modena, winning also the contest "Suonatecele 2" announced by La Tenda. From 2002 he started the "Accademia di Musica" in Modena, following both the theory class taken by M° Giuseppe La Monica and the instrument course with M° Enrico Lazzarini (2002-2006) and M° Glauco Zuppiroli (2006-2007). From 2004 to 2006 he's playing with band Landslide Ladies, getting gigs all across Italy (Milano, Torino, Roma, Venezia, Padova, Vicenza, Bologna, Bari, etc.). In 2007 he has confered a degree on music at the D.A.M.S

Joseph M. Anderson

Born: October 29, 1961

Born in Greenwood, South Carolina and having grown-up 15 miles from Augusta, Georgia in Trenton SC., Joe is a Graduate of the "James Brown University of Funk".

Attended South Carolina State College where he recieved many awards for his musicianship, from Marching Band, Symphonic Band. and Jazz Ensemble.

Joe as performed with many Artist over the years, including Stevie Wonder, Paul Bollenback, and of corse The Godfather of Soul Mr. James Brown.

Luke Vajsar

Born: May 17, 1979

Luke Vajsar was born in Prague, Czech Republic on May 17, 1979. In 1989 he immigrated to Hamilton, Canada with his brother and parents. When given the opportunity to play music at the age of 10 in elementary school, he immediately became interested. Even though he selected bass as his instrument he was given the trombone by his teacher and developed his skills on the instrument to a level where he was an important part in the best of big bands in his city and neighboring regions; winning national and provincial awards through to 1999. Also, he began playing guitar at this time and kept playing till finally he got his hands on a bass at the age of 13

Aldemar Valentin

Born: July 5, 1977

Bassist and composer Aldemar Valentin is one of the most sought after bassists currently based out of Puerto Rico. Aldemar holds a Bachelor of Music Degree from Berklee College of Music in Boston and a Masters in Jazz Studies from the New England Conservatory in Boston. Aldemar currently teaches at the Inter American University/Metropolitan Campus in San Juan, Puerto Rico and continues to perform with the top acts in the country. Valentin's performance and recording resume is quite impressive as he has been associated with the likes of Miguel Zenón, Nestor Torres, Danilo Pérez, Edsel Gomez, Paoli Mejias, Rakalam Bob Moses, Pedro Guzman, Dave Valentin, David Sanchez, Antonio Sanchez, Efrain Toro, Jerry Bergonzi, Bob Mintzer, Paquito D'Rivera, Holograma, Amuni Nazer, Luis Marin, Luis Perdomo, Jorge Laboy, Fernando Matina, Ricardo Pons & Causa Comun, Angel David Matos/Jazz Boricua, and Charlie Sepulveda among many others

Russel Blake

Born: May 27, 1961

Mr. Russel Blake has been a professional musician, solo artist, and educator for over three decades. He received his initial music instruction from his father, jazz great Alex Blake, and from his brother, jazz artist Alex Blake II. But Russel Blake’s theory, compositional, and musical arrangement skills are all self-taught.

As an educator, Mr. Blake has taught as an Adjunct Professor of Electrical Bass Studies at four universities across the country. To date, he has performed, toured, and lectured in 65 countries on five continents.

Blake is the creator of "The Universal Language Music History & Cultural Program" through which he has taught the history of music to a variety of audiences, from elementary through high school, colleges and universities, to senior centers, prisons, hospitals, military installations, and art galleries.

Background: Phillip Lackey grew up in a rich musical enviroment. His Mother and Grandmother both played the organ and the piano in a Pentecostal church. His older brother and his cousins played a lot of music so he had exposure to Oscar Peterson, Miles Davis, Weather Report, and Herbie Hancock on one hand, and the music of Hendrix, Earth Wind & fire, Mother's Finest, and the OJays on the other.

Winfield Davis

When he was 10, Winfield Davis wanted so badly to make music that he built his own guitar. That determination and creativity drove the Bermuda native (who lived alternately in Oberlin Ohio) to become a multi-instrumentalist, vocalist and composer, later performing with top acts in Bermuda's thriving hotel nightclub culture. After moving to Florida 15 years ago, Davis -- whose main instrument is bass -- actively partook of the Suncoast music scene, including performing with the popular dance band Ozone.
