"Gee-Spot" was created by all of our Local & Signed Rap Artist dubbing me "Gee" ,(short for GMAN) and during recording sessions the Artist would tell their fellow members "They're heading or rolling to "Gee's Spot" so this saying became our Production Company's name. Cai Marle-Garcia

Born: April 14, 1986

UK-based Cai Marle-Garcia, aka 'MR. EARS', is the driving new force on the international bass scene. Adept on both fretted bass and his favoured fretless bass, the 23-year- old has experience of performing and recording jazz, funk, pop, soul, r’n’b, hip-hop, rock, latin, fusion and world music. From leading his own jazz/rock fusion group with original compositions to recording a spontaneous but highly successful and effervescent debut solo album in 2008/2009, Cai’s journey is certainly one of self-discovery as well as a quest to breathe new life into the jazz scene. Cai’s love for jazz only started to blossom when he joined the renowned Weekend Arts College (WAC) aged 16

Victor Bailey

Born: March 27, 1960

Victor Bailey was born in Philadelphia, on March 27, 1960 into a musical family so there was music playing constantly from the moment he arrived on the planet. His dad, Morris Bailey Jr., is a master composer, arranger, producer, saxophonist, artist and teacher. During the 60's, 70's and 80's his songs were recorded by some of music's greatest R&B artists including, Patti LaBelle, The Stylistics, Blue Magic, The Spinners, Harold Melvin and the Blue Notes and international artist Nina Simone. As a saxophonist he played with cats like McCoy Tyner, Jimmy Smith, Lee Morgan and Reggie Workman. My uncle, Donald Bailey, is a legendary jazz drummer, probably best known as the drummer in the trio of groundbreaking jazz organist Jimmy Smith

Carol Kaye

Born: March 24, 1935

Throughout the 1950s Kaye played bebop jazz guitar in dozens of nightclubs around Los Angeles with many noted bands including Bob Neal's jazz group, Jack Sheldon backing Lenny Bruce, Teddy Edwards and Billy Higgins.

By her own account Kaye got into lucrative studio work "accidentally" in late 1957 with Sam Cooke. A few years later, when a bass player failed to show for a session at Capitol Records in Hollywood, she was asked to fill in on what was then often called the Fender bass.

Throughout the 1960s, she played bass on a significant percentage of records appearing on the Billboard Hot 100, although she was almost wholly unknown to the general public at the time.

Kaye played bass on many of the Beach Boys hit recordings, including "Good Vibrations", "Help Me, Rhonda", "Sloop John B" and "California Girls"

Tony Grey

Born: 1975

Tony Grey was born in Newcastle, England in 1975 where music was just another family member.

At the age of 18 Tony broke his back in a horrific car accident. It was during his recovery he started playing the bass and whilst under the watchful eye of legendary guitarist John McLaughlin, Tony successfully auditioned for a scholarship to the world-renowned Berklee College Of Music in Boston

Whilst at Berklee, Tony took time out to join the newly formed pop band Bliss. The group had signed a major record deal with the legendary record producer Terry Ellis who in the past discovered Billy Idol, Jethro Tull, Blondie, Huey Lewis & The News, Pat Benitar to name a few

Thomas Firth

Tom Firth has studied music education and performance at University of Michigan, Eastern Michigan University, The Detroit Arts Institute, Interlochen Arts Camp, Jackson Community College and graduated Magna Cum Laude from Spring Arbor University. He has received numerous awards for performance including the Wolftrap Young Artists Award, winner of the American Federation of Musicians Vocalist Competition and many other scholarship and competitive awards. Soloist with the University of Michigan's Men's Glee Club, choral performances with the Detroit Symphony and numerous solo engagements with the Jackson Symphony and other area orchestras. As a bassist, Tom has been performing in various jazz and pop combos for over 30 years and has several recording performances to his credit in contemporary, jazz and "classical" genres

Tim Paul Weiner

I'm a freelance bassist, songwriter and composer on the east coast. I am a Fodera and Epifani artist and a Berklee College of Music Film Scoring graduate and have a Masters degree from the Longy School of Music. I've studied jazz bass with John Lockwood, classical bass with Pascale Delache-Feldman, free music with Joe Morris, and improvisation with Peter Cassino. The first release by my group, Evoke Ensemble, “Groove for Peace”, is a collection of my original music and is an eclectic, bass-driven musical hybrid steeped in groove and improvisation, inspired by jazz, influenced by film, with flavors running the full musical spectrum from world music to classical and beyond. Resident Bass Player with The Festival Jazzmen and The Jazz Aces.Back Jazzmen - Roy Williams, Humphrey Littleton, John Barnes, Kenny Ball etc.,etc. Became a member of Blackpool Symphony Orchestra.

Al Criado

Born: February 19, 1952

Bassist Al Criado was born in Havana, Cuba and started playing professionally in Chicago, Ill. at the age of nineteen. He moved to Los Angeles in 1978 where he lived for twelve years, and is presently residing in the Pacific Northwest since 1989. Accomplished in both fretted and fretless electric basses, Mr. Criado is well versed in all styles of the instrument, intimately immersed in Jazz, Funk, Afro-Cuban, Brazilian, Caribbean, and African repertoires.
