Saxophonist, woodwind player, composer, and arranger Michael Mull opens ears wherever he brings his music. Holding a Master's Degree in Music from the notorious California Institute of the Arts, Michael received his undergraduate training at Cuesta College and CSU Northridge, and has studied under such great improvisers and composers as James Miley, George Stone, Matt Harris, Liviu Marinescu, Larry Koonse, Joe LaBarbera and Rob Lockart. Michael has developed a sound and style of his own that permeates both his playing and writing, drawing from a diverse pool of influences. Michael has written for small jazz ensembles of varying sizes, big band, string trio, trumpet quartet, trombone quartet, avant-garde ensembles, and several solo and chamber pieces

Peter Kuhn made a name for himself in New York City’s “Loft Scene” in the mid to late 70’s. He played and recorded with Frank Lowe, Billy Bang, Lester Bowie, William Parker and others in that rich musical period with his music documented on Hat Hut (“Ghost of a Trance”), Soul Note (“The Kill”) his own label Big City Records (“Livin’ Right”). After a lengthy hiatus to deal with debilitating drug addiction. Peter is once again in the forefront of creative improvised music these last few years, playing with renewed passion and commitment no doubt supported by his trainings as a Zen Buddhist Priest and more than 30 years of recovery from active addiction

Todd Marcus
Bass clarinetist, composer, and bandleader Todd Marcus is one of the few jazz artists worldwide to focus exclusively on the bass clarinet as a solo instrument. While use of bass clarinet in jazz typically tends to lean heavily towards avant-garde and free-jazz styles, Marcus’ playing presents the instrument with a modern straight-ahead jazz approach. His music swings hard with both fiery and introspective intensity but also maintains a strong lyrical sensibility. Based in Baltimore, MD, Marcus actively leads small ensembles such as the Todd Marcus Quartet, Trio, and Duo as well as his nonet - The Todd Marcus Jazz Orchestra which features his compositions and arrangements for six horns, piano, bass, and drums
