Sigurd Hole

Sigurd Hole is a norwegian bassplayer from Rendalen living in Oslo. After finishing his masters degree in jazz and improvised music at the Norwegian Academy of Music in 2008, he has worked full time as a musician in various ensembles. Often with music relating somehow to norwegian folk music combined with elements from contemporary jazz in bands such as Karl Seglem acoustic quartet, Østerdalsmusikken and Eple Trio. The latter has been his main project for the past 10 years - alongside his more american influenced jazz- and pop oriented work with norwegian guitarist Jon Eberson (most notably in the band Jon Eberson Group). Sigurd recently joined Tord Gustavsens quartet, replacing Mats Eilertsen as the groups new bass player.

Originally from Naples,  Italy, she regularly works with musicians from the classical world, pop and jazz. Born in 1991 in Versailles, France, Alexandre Delcourt is a young in-demand bass player based in the Philadelphia area . His long-time love and passion for jazz and many others genres of music has allowed him to develop his own voice on the double bass as well as on the electric bass. Alexandre started studying bass when he was 14 years old but music has always sparked his curiosity. He fondly remembers receiving his first radio from his parents: “I couldn’t stop messing around with the bass boost button. Curley Russell

Born:

Dillon "Curley" Russell was an American jazz double-bassist, who played bass on many bebop recordings. A member of the Tadd Dameron Sextet, in his heyday he was in demand for his ability to play at the rapid tempos typical of bebop, and appears on several key recordings of the period. He left the music business in the late 1950s. On May 1, 1951 Russell played in the recording session for Un Poco Loco, composed by American jazz pianist Bud Powell, with Max Roach on drums. Literary critic Harold Bloom included this performance on his short list of the greatest works of twentieth-century American art. According to jazz historian Phil Schaap, the classic bebop tune "Donna Lee", a contrafact on "Back Home Again In Indiana", was named after Curley's daughter

Alon Near

Alon Near is an Israeli-based bass player, currently residing in New York, where he is working as a bass player in various bands, after graduating the "New School For Jazz" with an Honorary Degree. Amongst many others, Alon has played with Kurt Rosenwinkel, David Liebman, and Eli Degibri. Alon has also attended the prestigious "Berklee Workshops" Led by terry Lynn Carrington, was awarded a full scholarship to Berklee College of Music, won first prize in the "Rostov Jazz Competition", and is playing in New York's soon to come Winter Jazz Festival with the Eli Degibri Quartet.

Born in the USA, Bruce Henri spent his childhood in Spain before moving to Brazil, where he spent most of his life and became a highly acclaimed musician. Having played with a great number of artists, Bruce’s contribution to the Brazilian music scene has been recognized as significant and innovative. Apart from standing out as a sideman, playing acoustic (and occasionally electric) bass on many memorable recordings and presentations of some of the country’s most distinguished artists, Bruce has pioneered transcriptions and performances of Brazilian classical compositions, personalising them to his own style
