Born in Indiana, Pennsylvania, Aaron graduated from Indiana University of Pennsylvania summa cum laude with a bachelor's degree in music education K-12 with an emphasis in string bass performance and a minor in piano performance. While at IUP, Aaron studied double bass with Jeff Mangone. In the spring of 2005, he graduated summa cum laude from the University of Tennessee with a master's degree in double bass / electric bass performance. Denis Shebukhov was born in Vyatskie Polyany, Russia on March 28, 1976. His first introduction to live music was through his father’s singing. At the age of 8 he started his music education at the local music school. His first instrument was a bayan (Russian form of accordion), but very soon he switched to the tuba. In 1993, he was accepted to Kirov College of Music where he studied tuba and electric bass. Soon after moving to Kirov, Denis got his first gig playing bass with the dance theatre Dimka. After winning a regional brass competition in Vladimir he was asked to continue his education in Glinka Conservatory in Nizhny Novgorod

A professsional bassist since the age of 16, Danny has backed up numerous jazz artists such as Gilbert Castellanos, Geoffrey Keezer, Charles McPherson, Mike Wofford, Peter Sprague, Jason Palmer, Mike Moreno, and Obed Calviere. Danny has also backed artists such as blues-singer Earl Thomas, and Scott Russo of Unwritten Law. Danny attended New England Conservatory in Boston in 2004, where he got to study Jazz performance with Bob Moses, Cecil McBee, John Lockwood, Oscar Stagnaro, Jerry Bergonzi, and Danilo Perez. and in 2005, he performed in the NEC Jazz Honors Ensemble, and their performance of his original composition, The Cranning Call, was selected to represent NEC on Jazziz Magazine’s annual “Education Issue” CD

Bassist and composer Gonçalo Almeida (Lisbon, 1978) lives in Rotterdam, Netherlands, where he studied at the Rotterdams Conservatorium with Hein van Geyn, Stefan Lievestro, Marius Beets and Peter Leerdman. He has been making a mark as one of Netherlands’s most interesting new generation bass players. His projects involve the forerunners of the Dutch and Portuguese jazz scenes, bridging modern jazz, free jazz, jazzcore and free improvisation. He has shared the stage with improvisers such has Ab Baars, Balasz Pandi, Chris Speed, Carlos Zíngaro, Fred Lonberg-Holm , Jasper Stadhouders, Jorrit Dijkstra, Martin van Duynhoven, Rodrigo Amado, Tobias Klein, and Wilbert de Joode, among others

Luca Sisera

For a good 15 years, Luca Sisera has been a sought-after bassist in the Swiss jazz and improvisation scene. Musically, he likes to operate in the charged environment between composition and improvisation. He is frequently seen on stage at various festivals and jazz clubs across Europe in over 100 concerts each year, whereby some tours and concerts have already taken him to Egypt, China, Jordan, Guatemala and America. To date, he has been involved in over 30 audio releases. Luca Sisera has also started working as a composer for his own quintet “Luca Sisera ROOFER”. As interdisciplinary projects have always interested him, Luca Sisera has also worked with authors, cabaret artists, dancers and visual artists, among others, as well as on theatre and film productions.

Leonard E. Jones, born 1943 in Chicago, Illinois grew up in a rich musical environment on the near westside of the city that has had a everlasting impression on his life. His family lived above Vi´s Lounge where many blues artist such as Muddy Waters, Howlin´Wolf and Willie Dixon, Bo Diddley, etc., regularly appeared in the 1950's. The famous Zanzibar Lounge was located in the neighborhood just two blocks away. At seventeen Jones volunteered for the U.S. Army and after being stationed in Bad Kreuznach, Germany, he purchased his first double bass and received rudimentary instruction from a bassist in the army band that was also on the same barracks.

Kyle Vocks Profile Kyle Vock is a free-lance bassist and music teacher from the 1000 islands region of New York. After Graduating from SUNY New Paltz and The Eastman School of Music in 2010, he has been an in demand player in Western New York and Rochester having performed with The Mighty High and Dry, Steve Grills and the Roadmasters, the Rick Holland Little Big Band ,The Rita Collective, My Plastic Sun , Carl Adkins’ Culture Clash, The Westview Project, Jon Greeno , and Connie Deming. While at Eastman Kyle was also a member of the renowned Eastman Jazz Ensemble. He has played at the Rochester International Jazz festival for the last 5 years. Most notably, Kyle has had the opportunity to perform with Lee Konitz, Marvin Stamm, Jeff Beal, Wycliff Gordon,Bill Dobbins,Bob Sneider, Rufus Reid,John Menegon, Teri Roiger, Paul Smoker,Mike Kaupa, Dean Keller, Kristin Shiner Mcguire, Adam Falcon, Rebecca Coupe Franks, Dave Bixler, And Al Defino. Pouya was born in Tehran in 1982. As a child he was enjoying to listen to different types of music. At age 18 he started playing Guitar and quickly established a band with his friends and after a short time he switched to Electric Bass because of the absence of bass player. They were playing rock songs from famous bands such as Metallica, Pink Floyd and Dire Straights. Later he decided to play bass professionally under the instruction of well known Iranian bass player and teacher Babak Riahipour. In 2007 he joined a Rock band called "Orvan" as Bass player and song writer. Orvan recorded several original songs in rock style with persian lyrics
