Hagen Stüdemann is a bassist, an acoustic guitarist and a graphic artist from Rostock, Germany. He studied graphic design at the Fachhochschule Wismar, Germany. Joe Porter

Joe Porter hails from the city of St. Petersburg, Florida, where he learned to play bass guitar and double bass while studying music at St. Petersburg Junior College. In 2000 he graduated from the University of South Florida with a bachelor's degree in jazz performance. Soon after graduating, Joe was asked to join the Maynard Ferguson Big Bop Nouveau band on a world tour from 2001-2003. During his tenure he also had the chance to perform with singer Diane Schuur. Joe left the band in 2003 to pursue a freelance career as a jazz bassist which he continues from his home base in St. Petersburg, Florida

Jeff Weiss

Jeff Weiss, recent graduate of UW-Madison's School of Music, is already a master bassist with dazzling artistic prowess. Awarded the 2012 Madison Area Music Award for best bassist of the year, Jeff brings to the gypsy jazz group Harmonious Wail a mesmerizing technical facility on the fretboard, a sophisticated and versatile style, and a powerful ability to create musical ambiance and rapport. Jeff studied under Richard Davis for five years and was principle bassist for UW-Madison's Symphony Orchestra. Jeff's music reflects a broad application of classical and jazz influences.

Projects, tours and concerts with well-known musicians such as Hendrik Meurkens, Max Ionata, Frits Landesbergen, Martin Sasse, Luis Diego Bonilla, Jorge Rossy, Karl Ratzer, George Gruntz, Isla Eckinger, Oscar Klein, Vince Benedetti, Domenic Landolf, David Klein, Adrian Mears, Adam Taubitz, Titi Winterstein, Kurt Weil, Jim Galloway, John Serry, Bonnie Jeanne Taylor, Miguel de la Cerna, Othella Dallas, Andreas Herrmann, Markus Hauser, Mario Schneeberger, Sam Burckhardt and many more. He has performed in numerous jazz clubs and at jazz festivals in Switzerland and abroad.

He has been a member of Thomas Moeckel's "Centrio" since 1998. He has a long musical friendship with the well-known Swiss all-round musician Thomas Moeckel, during which countless joint projects have been created. Several of his own CD productions followed, such as the recordings "Dahaana", "Nothing Is As It Seems" (both with the hardbop formation Compulsion) and "Sambâle" with the trio formation Gutfleisch-Schürmann-Frey, founded in 2017 and co-produced by Swiss Radio SRF 2. His 2016 album "Upswing" was one of the most successful Swiss CD productions on international download platforms. In 2023 he founded the European Jazz Meeting with Max Ionata, Martin Sasse and Frits Landesbergen.

Kevin G. Mauldin

Kevin G. Mauldin is the principal bassist with the Naples FL Philharmonic Orchestra but also performs with jazz artists in Southwest Florida. He earned his B.M. degree from Memphis State University in 1982 and his M.M. degree from Cincinnati College Conservatory of Music (CCM) in 1985. A native of Memphis, he studied bass with Herman Burkhart, John Chiego and in Cincinnati with Frank Proto. His teaching responsibilities include a private studio with doublebass and electric bass students and the Hot Springs Music Festival as mentor and faculty member since 2007. Mauldin taught at the Brevard Music Center and also at the University of Miami from 2000 to 2010. Mauldin is a member of the Naples Philharmonic Jazz Orchestra, with which he has appeared with major jazz figures such as Benny Golson, Jimmy Heath, Joe Cohn, Peter Bernstein, Randy Brecker, Joe Locke, Tom Harrell, Warren Vaché Jr

These early fringe sensibilities are evident in his commitment to jazz, contemporary concert and improvised music, bringing him from CBGB to The Stone to Lincoln Center. I am a Bandleader/Bassist who has recently performed with 2009 Grammy Award Winner for best Latin Jazz Album, Pianist and composer Arturo O'Farrill. I have also performed with Nichelle Nichols- Actress/Vocalist, Known for her role as Lt. Uhura in Star Trek. Ben Hedquist is the clinical assistant professor of jazz bass at Arizona State University. He holds a doctorate in double bass performance from ASU where he studied under double bass virtuoso Catalin Rotaru. Hedquist is the education program coordinator at The Nash, Phoenix’s jazz performance and education center. As a double bassist, Hedquist is known for his versatility and feels at home playing classical or jazz music. As a classical musician, he has performed with the West Valley Symphony, Phoenix Opera, and as Principal Bassist for the Musica Nova Orchestra. Hedquist has also performed in chamber concerts with the ASU String Faculty as part of the Stradivarius Concert Series at the Musical Instrument Museum, with violinist Mark Fewer (McGill University) as part of the Lotus Land Project and performs solo recitals throughout the Phoenix Metropolitan area
