He has performed in numerous jazz clubs and at jazz festivals in Switzerland and abroad.
He has been a member of Thomas Moeckel's "Centrio" since 1998. He has a long musical friendship with the well-known Swiss all-round musician Thomas Moeckel, during which countless joint projects have been created. Several of his own CD productions followed, such as the recordings "Dahaana", "Nothing Is As It Seems" (both with the hardbop formation Compulsion) and "Sambâle" with the trio formation Gutfleisch-Schürmann-Frey, founded in 2017 and co-produced by Swiss Radio SRF 2. His 2016 album "Upswing" was one of the most successful Swiss CD productions on international download platforms. In 2023 he founded the European Jazz Meeting with Max Ionata, Martin Sasse and Frits Landesbergen.

Kevin G. Mauldin
Kevin G. Mauldin is the principal bassist with the Naples FL Philharmonic Orchestra but also performs with jazz artists in Southwest Florida. He earned his B.M. degree from Memphis State University in 1982 and his M.M. degree from Cincinnati College Conservatory of Music (CCM) in 1985. A native of Memphis, he studied bass with Herman Burkhart, John Chiego and in Cincinnati with Frank Proto. His teaching responsibilities include a private studio with doublebass and electric bass students and the Hot Springs Music Festival as mentor and faculty member since 2007. Mauldin taught at the Brevard Music Center and also at the University of Miami from 2000 to 2010. Mauldin is a member of the Naples Philharmonic Jazz Orchestra, with which he has appeared with major jazz figures such as Benny Golson, Jimmy Heath, Joe Cohn, Peter Bernstein, Randy Brecker, Joe Locke, Tom Harrell, Warren Vaché Jr

Ben Hedquist is the clinical assistant professor of jazz bass at Arizona State University. He holds a doctorate in double bass performance from ASU where he studied under double bass virtuoso Catalin Rotaru. Hedquist is the education program coordinator at The Nash, Phoenix’s jazz performance and education center. As a double bassist, Hedquist is known for his versatility and feels at home playing classical or jazz music. As a classical musician, he has performed with the West Valley Symphony, Phoenix Opera, and as Principal Bassist for the Musica Nova Orchestra. Hedquist has also performed in chamber concerts with the ASU String Faculty as part of the Stradivarius Concert Series at the Musical Instrument Museum, with violinist Mark Fewer (McGill University) as part of the Lotus Land Project and performs solo recitals throughout the Phoenix Metropolitan area

Brandon L. Robertson is a rising upright/electric bassist originally from Tampa, FL. After attending Florida State University College of Music in 2004, Brandon received his B.A. in Music Performance, studying jazz and classical with bass professors Rodney Jordan and Melanie Punter in 2009. During his time at Florida State, he was a part of the FSU Philharmonic, University Symphony Orchestra, FSU Jazz Ensemble & Combo, FSU Salsa Florida, and the FSU Blues Lab. In 2011, Brandon performed in the Inaugural Ceremony for the Governor of Florida, Rick Scott. In 2012, he released his first album with the Zach Bartholomew Trio entitled "Out of This Town."
