Born into a family of drummers (a grandfather, two uncles & his father), Robert learned the basics from his father, who, along with his Uncle, were lifetime members of the NYC Musicians Union, AFM Local 802.
By high school, having started private lessons as well as classes in music theory, he was playing professionally all over the NY/Tri-State area. He went on to study Theory & Composition, Piano, Guitar, Orchestra Percussion & Drums at the Westchester Conservatory of Music, State University of NY at New Paltz, and Drummers Collective NYC. Over the years he has studied with some of the most well known drummers in New York & the world including, Ed Soph, Gary Chester, Kim Plainfield, Tony “Thunder” Smith, Robbie Gonzalez, Robbie Ameen, Horacio el Negro Hernandez, and Joe Ascione

Ramiro Pinheiro

Ramiro Pinheiro is a subtle and creative acoustic guitarist from Brazil who is also a talented songwriter. He was mostly self-taught at the beginning, learning the guitar by ear before attending the Conservatório Souza Lima in São Paulo. Pinheiro moved to Barcelona (Spain) 14 years ago and he has been an important part of the local music scene ever since, working with a wide variety of top jazz and Brazilian musicians. While he has appeared on several recordings since 2010, Sentido is his debut CD as a leader.

Rita Payés, was born in 1999 in Vilassar de Mar (Barcelona). She has lived Music with intensity and proximity since she was a child (her parents are musicians) and began studying at the School of Music in Premià de Mar, initially playing the piano with Montse Massaguer. At the age of 8 years, at the School of Modern Music in Badalona, she added trombone to his studies with David Sanabria and then for about 6 years with Joan Palacio. She is currently studying 4th ESO at the School Oriol Martorell (integrated music training center) and his trombone teacher is Jordi Gomez. Occasionally she receives trombone lessons and music from Toni Belenguer

Joel Moreno Codinachs was born in Barcelona in a very musical family in which almost everybody plays an instrument. He soon chose the guitar influenced by this environment. At the age of 14 he discovered the electric guitar and started to play blues and rock. Soon after he fell in love with the harmonies of Jazz and Brazilian Music. From that time he has been busy playing this music. He leads his trio and quintet and participates in several projects. He has released, with his quintet, Songs for Midnight Dancers (Underpool 2017), his second work as a lider. His debut album, Emergexit (Errabal 2010), was recorded in New York and in the year 2015 he presented PLAY (Errabal 2015) with Diana Palau & Joel Moreno Project a CD result of the collaboration with the singer Diana Palau

Aridane Martín (1989, Canary Islands, Spain). Aridane attended CPMLPGC and CMMB conservatories. He graduates with the best qualifications (Award of honor in percussion, orchrestal soloist and chamber music) also received several prizes as a chamber musician and percussion soloist. After graduating, he enrolled at the Liceu Conservatory studying with the acclaimed drummer and percussionist Marc Miralta. Aridane has received classes from Jeffery Davies, David Friedman, Eric Sammut, Keiko Abe, Gary Burton. I´m an Argentinian musician based in Barcelona, Spain. I grew up in San Juan, Argentina, a small city next to the Andes Mountains in the west part of the country. There I began studying classical guitar at age 12, and started playing regular gigs on electric guitar by age 15, after studying for several years at the Music Conservatory of the city. In 2000 I moved to Barcelona to continue my career in music and began writing my own material as well. In 2014 I earned a degree in Jazz Guitar after attending the Escuela Superior de Música de Cataluña, “ESMUC”. He began studying musical language and harmony with his grandfather (Josep Baiget), classical guitar with several teachers (Jordi Belza, Mariano Capella, Guillem Pérez-Quer, William Waters, Danielle Kassner), contemporary music (Joan Munné, Xavier Prats) and flamenco (Manuel Castilla). However, it was by exploring on his own that he developed a personal musical language focused on improvisation, inspired by musicians such as Keith Jarret, Bill Frisell, Ralph Towner or Nguyên Lê.

Ivan Ilic
Born:
Ivan Ilic was born in Belgrade (Serbia) in 1979, where he gave his first concerts with his own formations ”Havarija” and later “Free House”. In 1999 he created the band “Solid” comprised of several young talents of that time in Belgrade, with which he recorded the albums “Ta-ta-ta-tira” in 2000 and Jazz & Samba 2003. “Solid” attended the “Nishvile” Festival and “International Festival of Jazz and Blues-Sabac” where they won the award for the best young jazz band of Yugoslavia in 2002. He also has recorded albums for the groups ”Calor de Cuba” and “Uros Stamenkovic Trio”. In 2004 he moved to Barcelona and finished the studies of modern music and jazz in “L´aula de musica moderna i jazz del conservatori Liceu ” in 2006, when he also recorded two albums:” Chily, Claud with Slavich “and ”Dirty shoes & high heels” as a lider of a trio
