With over 25 yrs. experience playing Trumpet & Flugelhorn, Anthony G. Bailey has performed in Atlanta & all over the Southeastern United States. He joined the African American Philharmonic Orchesta (AAPO) under the direction of John T. Peek in 1997. After three years with the AAPO, he became the lead trumpeter for the orchestra. Dave Potter is quickly becoming known as a formidable musician. He has performed with many well-known jazz artists and recorded 4 albums with Jason Marsalis. Following his graduation from Florida State University in 2005, he was chosen from a national pool of applicants to be a member of the Louis Armstrong Quintet at the University of New Orleans. Unfortunately, the tragedy of hurricane Katrina temporarily ended his hopes for a career in Louisiana. In the spring of 2006, Dave was awarded a full scholarship to the prestigious Julliard Jazz Program in New York City. However, after several days of intense meditation he declined the offer and returned to Florida State University, where he received his Master’s Degree in the winter of 2008 after further collaboration with his mentor Marcus Roberts

Dan Coy began actively playing in Atlanta in the mid 1970's with bands like Blessed Relief, Windows, Unit Structure and Polydor recording artists, Early Warning System. In the 1980's the Dan Coy Band was formed and began performing regularly at the Cafe 290, Claude's, Club 131, The Point, RCI Cafe and Fat Tuesdays. Tivon Pennicott

Born:

Tivon Pennicott was born in Marietta, Georgia in December of 1985. He began studying tenor saxophone in high school, garnering recognition early on as an outstanding soloist in the Lincoln Center's Essentially Ellington competition, as well as the Georgia All-state Jazz Band. In 2004, he relocated to Miami to study at the Frost School of Music, where he had the opportunity to perform alongside artists such as: Dave Liebman, Randy Brecker, and Maria Schneider.

While still in college, guitar legend Kenny Burrell invited Tivon to join his quintet. He would then go on to appear on Burrell’s 2008 live release, "Be Yourself." Tivon’s continuing association with Burrell has led to numerous performance opportunities at many of America's greatest jazz venues including: Blue Note, Billboard Live (Japan) Catalina's Jazz Club (Los Angeles, Yoshi's Jazz Club (Oakland and San Francisco), Smalls Jazz Club etc. alongside special guests like Stevie Wonder, Wynton Marsalis, Roy Hargrove, and many others.

Trey Wright

Trey Wright is a jazz guitarist, composer, and recording artist based in Roswell, Ga. Initially inspired by the blues, Trey was exposed to jazz early in his development by a private instructor. While studying Sociology at the University of Georgia, Wright furthered his study of jazz improvisation with pianist and composer Steve Dancz. In 1994, he co- founded the Athens/Atlanta based jazz band Squat. The group was a six-time winner of Best Jazz Band at the Flagpole Athens Music Awards and was a featured artist at the Atlanta Jazz Festival, Bel Chere, the Twilight Athens Jazz Festival, the Cherry Blossom Festival, Harvest Midtown, and Athfest
