Luigi Ruberti: Sud a Levante
L'impostazione delle composizioni e dei brani è molto composta e lascia spazio alla libertà improvvisativa dei singoli, che infatti non si fanno pregare e si lanciano in assoli di grande dinamismo ed espressività. E questo non solo l'affermato Boltro, ma anche i meno noti Odierna e Di Colandrea. Tutt'altro, nella sua semplicità, il ruolo ricoperto da Napolitano al pianoforte.
Va però rilevato come l'elemento di spicco del gruppo sia lo stesso Ruberti (autore, si badi, anche di tutte le composizioni), molto presente con il suo contrabbasso (ma sono molto interessanti anche i momenti in cui suona il fretless), sia nel ruolo di ossatura ritmica che - soprattutto - come solista. Con la perla conclusiva: una seconda versione di "Bluespirit" per solo contrabbasso e basso elettrico, però sovrainciso quattro volte. Notevole conclusione di un album genuino e ben eseguito.
