Stanley Jordan at Tabarka Jazz Festival 2017
By
After a hiatus of several years, Jazz à Tabarka, the festival established in 1973 by Mourad Mathari, ran again from July 22-29. As usual it featured a full program of pop, rock and jazz in the heart of Tunisia. On 28 July the festival featured legendary guitarist Stanley Jordan, who mesmerized the audience with his extraordinary technique by which he approaches the guitar as if it were a piano, tapping the strings rather than plucking them and giving the illusion that there are two or more guitars at play simultaneously. Enjoy.
