Will Holshouser Trio: Reed Song
However, the bottom line equates to the overriding fun factor element. Simply stated, Holshouser and associates are having a blast! The group incorporates a broad genre base into its stock and trade. Moreover, Norton adds a little punch and pizzazz on two pieces - where the band ventures into swing vamps and bluesy episodes. On “Sparkle Of Never,” Holshouser executes bouncy lines to coincide with moderately paced swing pulses and Mediterranean-like motifs. Meanwhile, Horton and Phillips provide a strong counterattack via peppery soloing endeavors and capricious frameworks. No doubt, Holshouser brings a lot to the table. Hearing is believing!
