Project Trio: Project Trio
Track review of "Sweet Child O' Mine"Eric Stephenson's cello establishes Slash's harmonic guitar introduction, with Peter Seymour's bass performing both harmony and rhythm duties. Greg Patillo's flute plays drum machine until the second verse, where it takes over from the cello presenting the song's melody, followed by Slash's guitar solo which he soon hands off to the cello.
Certainly this is a novelty piece, but one that is immediately enjoyed by the children of the 1980s, now representing the "Establishment" never to be trusted, as declared by the children of the '60s and '70s. This music makes everything new again.
Personnel
Greg Pattillo: flute; Eric Stephenson: cello; Peter Seymour: bass.
