Modern day jazz cat James Francies starts the 586th Episode of Neon Jazz with pure gusto on a song off his CD Flight. From there, we follow a trail of good with Pat Metheny, Beaver Harris and Moppa Elliott. We put a focus on both Jason Stein and Harry Vetro during the hour. Then, we pay homage to the great Ira Gitler who left us in February 2019 and a life well lived into age 90. We take the goods of Igor Butman and Charles Mingus right on into the jazz sunset to polish off that hour of jazz that is and was and will remain.
