Quando Palmitessa passa al tenore, il risultato non cambia particolarmente, conservando la palpabile fascinazione tipica della musica di sponda araba (qui prevalente), quell'andamento ciondolante e sinuoso, vagamente indolente ed onirico che ogni volta ci cattura. Ora più docili e ora appena più vitali, i vari brani si sviluppano così senza particolari scarti dinamici, con tranquillità e - quasi - senso di olimpica superiorità (che non è mai supponenza, per carità), secondo la migliore prassi di quello che ogni tanto amiamo definire "un ascolto terapeutico".
