On this show new releases including:

The seventh album from Dutch saxophonist Tineke Postma. Her first since 2014,  a come-back album as a leader. Together with trumpeter Ralph Alessi, bassist Matt Brewer, drummer Dan Weiss and featuring pianist Kris Davis she has delivered an excellent set.

A remarkable live album from Bill Cole originally recorded in  1986 . Cole's Korean flute creates an otherworldly sound and Julius Hemphill's arrangements are both ground-breaking and impressive. It sounds like a great deal of fun was being had by all.

Guitarist Jocelyn Gould's superb debut on Positone features trombonist Michael Dease, saxophonist Brandon Wright, and trumpeter Anthony Stanco plus the rhythm section of pianist Addison Frei, bassist George DeLancey, and drummer Quincy Davis.

Drummer Paul Shaw's debut features a great line-up  that includes trumpeter Alex Sipiagin, guitarist Brad Shepik, pianist Gary Versace, and bassist Drew Gress.
