The World's Loudest Clarinet Player™
Known for his stage-craft, volume, witty reparteé and musical skills, the world has only known one Efrayim Fischbacher, also known to his worldwide fans as "Effie".
This nonegenarian has had a career that started in the early 1940's in Hoboken and New York, continued with a stint in the Army bands in Korea, culminating with the award of "World's Loudest Clarinetist™ in 1967. He spent time during the heydey of Las Vegas showbands, and achieved notoriety in Asia after his legendary Lost Winter in Macau, as reported in "Hey! Go!" magazine. Just name a legendary figure, and Effie will surely have had an experience and a tale to tell.
Jazz, polka, smooth-jazz, Dixie-land, Hot-jazz, cool-jazz, country-time, rhumba, rock-and-roll, Swing-time - Efrayim has done it all.
As a recent concert producer, Efrayim is known for his "Big Concert" series in his adopted home of Naples, Florida, attracting notables including Biff Rose, Van Dyke Parks, and Shakey Johnson.
Efrayim is hard at work releasing his next album, working with the upstart Jason Miles, for a new reflective style. The initial work in progress, Efrayim & Miles has been released as a sort of preview, and it's a fascinating look and preview into an on-going creative process as he and his sound-man polish and work the musical threads into gold. His fans look forward to hearing the final product.

Effie puts it like this:
"I wouldn't say I'm the GREATEST clarinet player in the world, but let's just say I'm up there. I have a particular interest in collecting jazz, polka music and beautiful women. In my early 70's I found a passion for collecting clarinets. I am a musician and a beginner at clarinet repair, a field where I feel I have a God-given talent and gift."
