Duccio Bertini: Moving Off
A parte il trombonista Tony Cattano, autore di misurati growl al suo strumento, tutti gli altri, guidati dall´attento leader Bertini al sax alto ed al clarinetto, sono fautori di un jazz senza sbavature, autori di una musica il cui scopo finale sembra essere quello di presentarsi bene anche quando suonano l´inno del Soul Jazz, quello "Strollin`" di Horace Silver cui Cattano dà un pò di colore, ma che in fondo non si capisce perchè sia stato ripescato da chi ha tutt´altre connotazioni estetiche.
A seguire "Circles," in cui Bertini si prende uno spazio notevole al clarinetto, cercando di immettere un pò di feeling in un disco in cui la cura della forma appare troppo preminente. E poi "1968," in cui si decide di andare un pò piú veloce con il tempo.
E così che scorre via tutto il disco, e di sicuro c´è chi lo apprezzerà. Dopo tutto a chi non piace un aspetto acqua e sapone?
