About Me
Life is short - get on with it.
With a beautifully smooth and soulful voice, Jean has been creating diverse music for many years in the Philadelphia area and has now made her home in Washington’s great northwest. As a performing artist, composer, lyricist, arranger and bandleader Jean’s fresh approach to Classic Jazz is influenced by an eclectic mix of musical genres that span a lifetime, looking always forward, towards the horizon. Jean’s “Jean Therapy West Band” artfully mixes classic 30’s & 40’s Jazz & Blues with free spirited 60's & 70's Folk Rock & Jazz-Rock Fusion, celebrating the soundtracks of generations past and present ~ familiar, yet slightly off center, with haunting appeal.

My Jazz Story
For me, the world of jazz is a magical musical space with a complex history and haunting appeal ~ a space to celebrate the light and the
darkness & create new
wonders!

My House Concert Story
My favorite house concert is a private Salon in Philadelphia, hosted monthly by Andrea Clearfield. The concerts are glorious
events that I have been both privileged to perform at, and attend, with musicians of all genres including a lot of wonderful Jazz!
