Lena grew up in Sweden, playing violin, singing in the choir, and just loving music. Her dad introduced her to jazz and soul, and that's what sparked the love of American music. After high school, she went on to perform with several bands and projects, performing in Vasteras and Stockholm. She studied jazz composition in Stockholm before eventually moving to Copenhagen where she worked as a full-time session singer on TV, radio and tours as well as teaching vocals, violin and choir.

In 2004, Lena moved to the US and continued to teach music and sing at weddings, wine bars, casinos and more. She had written a bunch of tunes in Copenhagen with her partner in crime Susanne Orum and the dream was always to record original music. Lena sings backup vocals on 100s of projects but never recorded a solo album.

Fast forward to 2022 when she had the incredible honor to meet Kevin Toney (Blackbyrds etc.) and he decided that he wanted to arrange, produce and play the piano on Lena's original songs. So, then she went on to record in Pasadena with the most incredible lineup of LA musicians: Kevin Toney, Nolan Shaheed, Marvin 'Smitty' Smith, Mike Alvidrez, Rickey Woodard, and Chris Johnson. The title song released on December 19, 2024. Whole album release will be in 2025. Lena will perform songs from the album once released in 2025. There are still some details to be worked out, as she is still mourning the great Kevin Toney who left us way to soon in 2024.
