About the Album
Sub Rosa is the second release for pianist Julian Shore’s mesmerizing trio with bassist Martin Nevin and drummer Allan Mednard, and shows how the trio’s chemistry has evolved since their 2023 debut. The Shore original “Must Keep Going” starts with Shore demonstrating his quick and revealing touch at the piano. The piece develops into a glorious showcase for the rhythm section’s musical interplay, with some concise but powerful soloing from Mednard.
