Grammy-winning pianist/composer Kris Davis confronts the existential crisis of climate change with this striking new work, Davis’ first for piano and string quartet. Performed with Poland’s Lutoslawski Quartet, The Solastalgia Suite further expands the broad scope and incisive exploration of Davis’ compositional vision. The suite’s second movement, “An Invitation to Disappear,” begins with a single violin before moving into a meaningful dialogue between Davis’ piano and the string quartet.
